[00:21] Good day. I wondered if the posted UDS schedule was subject to autoregeneration? I tried to subscribe to specs in advance this time to help the scheduler, but seem to have several conflicts and lots of open gaps. [00:23] If another autoschedule run is planned, then it's premature for me to be poking folks to try to move one or the other session where I have conflict. [00:24] persia, might want to poke cjohnston or jcastro. I've seen them doing stuff with the uds app IIRC [00:25] I think jcastro is getting food ( and it's past 7 on a Friday ) [00:27] That's fine. My question doesn't precisely need an immediate answer: a positive response would mean I did nothing, and a negative response would end up with me poking lots of folks on Monday or Tuesday to change it manually. [00:29] :) [00:34] huh [00:34] wha [00:34] the schedule is always changing [00:39] cjohnston, Yes, but there's the fabled autogeneration runs that are supposed to avoid conflicts based on who is subscribed to what. [00:39] So my question is really whether this will happen again, or whether I have to go patiently explain to folks why they want to move their sessions because otherwise I won't be there. [00:40] * persia was rather surprised to find conflicts, actually [00:40] That's beyond me persia.. jcastro or Dave Walker would be who I'd talk to.. mhall119 might know [00:41] No worries. I'll idle here a bit until I get an answer, as it would save me several hours of discussions. [00:42] Daviey doesn't seem to be in this channel though: should I have asked somewhere else? [00:43] #ubuntu-locoteams is where we normally discuss the apps [00:44] * persia goes to ask the original question there [00:54] cjohnston, yeah, why do you use -locoteams ? [00:54] cjohnston, uds is not really loco team stuff [00:54] cjohnston, I get the LD, but not UDS app [00:54] cause thats where we talk about LD, and the devs are the same [00:55] website would probably be the most bestest place to talk about it [01:02] hey persia [01:02] hey doctormo [01:03] cjohnston: #ubuntu-locoteams is where you discuss the uds app? [01:15] doctormo: summit.. yes.. cause thats where all the devs are [01:16] since most of us moved from working on LD to LD and summit.. so it just kinda worked [01:25] hey everyone! [01:33] hey highvoltage [02:01] howzit going doctormo? [02:35] highvoltage: Just gota change something in the loco directory, nhandler, JFo or cjohnston? [02:35] doctormo: What are you trying to change? [02:35] nhandler: see #ubuntu-locoteams [03:29] good morning! [03:33] hi nigelb [03:33] aha, I thought you went to bed :) [03:34] nah, was upgrading, but then we had guests over so I couldn't finish the upgrade and get back online as quickly as planned ;) [03:34] heh [03:41] Now I'm exploing if dasher is really actually useable in maverick. [03:46] w00t [03:47] So far it's a definite improvement. [05:01] persia: around? [05:05] hmm,I see a lot of sessions for gestures, is that only for touch, or is there a session to trigger those gestures with mouse ? [05:18] jcastro¦ is linus invited to every UDS? [05:21] * vish notices first on the whiteboard : https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/other-desktop-n-application-selection :D [05:22] first item* [05:25] vish: ? [05:25] I would assume so [05:27] jcastro¦ just had a doubt since i noticed Linus' mail id in the list of invitees, so i just imagined he is invited everytime, and he is too busy to attend ;) [05:37] ah [05:37] he's just some dude on the internet, like the rest of us. :) [05:51] jcastro, wow you're up late [06:12] I just saw the social network. The movie itself was ok, but I enjoyed looking for the various computer related stuff in it. They had him using emacs to program in Perl, apache+mysql for the site, wget along with a Perl script to download images, kde for his laptop, and a few other things [06:13] oh, nice! [06:13] perl must've given you a kick :D [06:13] dang, no vim though [06:14] nigelb: Yep, the Perl reference was nice. I thought I heard them mention python when they were rooting a box, but I am not positive [06:33] rofl "Thank you for helping to make Ubuntu better! [06:33] Unfortunately, you've not provided enough information for us to respond [06:33] to the issue you've raised. [08:55] persia: the deployment of new summit was supposed to happen, I think it did happen :) [08:56] Which meant a rescheduling, which meant I only have one conflict, and already know someone able to represent my views will be attending one of the two :) [13:10] morning all [13:29] hiya [15:25] hola folks! === nigelbabu is now known as nigelb [16:08] what channel deals with help.ubuntu.com?
