=== Andre_Gondim is now known as Andre_Gondim-afk [12:46] hi all, I have downloaded the entire bazaar repository of ubuntu-manual and made some modifications in the galician translations pofile, the pdf compiles pretty well but I need to generate the printable version. [12:47] Is there one parameter to make to compile with this alternative version of pdf? === bilalakhtar_ is now known as bilalakhtar === bilalakhtar_ is now known as bilalakhtar === |Omega| is now known as Omega === Andre_Gondim-afk is now known as Andre_Gondim [22:32] Hi all, is there an e-reader friendly build of the manual? My reader is too small to render the pdf properly so it gives strange linebreaks [22:52] trijntje: There isn't at the moment, but it's something we're interested in exploring. [22:56] godbyk, I would like that, but I have no idea how much call there is for such a thing [22:57] For linux users even just html should do, as calibre can convert them to something an eReader can understand [22:57] I'm not sure either. Hopefully we can find a format that's compatible with most ebook readers and isn't too difficult to generate. (I think epub may fit this bill, but I haven't looked into it too much yet.) [22:58] trijntje: can calibre not deal with PDFs? [23:03] dutchie, trying that now, I didnt know PDFs could be converted [23:03] neither did i, but it was worth a guess :) [23:11] dutchie, nice guess. It looks like it can convert it to epub, but it does sprinkle everything with questions marks [23:12] trijntje: probably some unicode thing, try filing a bug [23:13] dutchie, I will do that, and I will also try out some more ebook formats to see if one can convert from PDF properly [23:13] thanks for the guess ;) [23:13] no proble [23:13] m [23:13] damn, lost pingus again [23:14] i'm off for today, have a good night
