[15:27] no i would like to get involved in fixing bugs which have triaged [15:27] G__81: We only accept people into the papercutters team who have a lot of triaging experience. [15:27] G__81: However, that does not mean that contributions are not welcome. [15:27] Especially fixing bugs is something we want people for. [15:28] i have not done triaging much, i have been a contributor to Fedora project [15:28] and also contribute to other upstream projects too [15:28] G__81: The thing is, it is not always very easy to see whether a bug is a valid paper cut or not. [15:28] G__81: Your experience is very valuable. [15:28] yeah i understand thats true [15:28] G__81: You know there will be a session at the UDS on paper cuts? [15:28] You may want to listen in to that. [15:28] no [15:28] oh great [15:29] yeah i would when is that ? [15:29] i could do it remotely . Did listen to couple of sessions yesterday [15:29] Let me take a look. [15:30] G__81: This afternoon, at 16:15 [15:30] Bonaire 6 [15:30] We're in EDT here. [15:31] oh ok [15:31] so to start off working on stuff is it mandatory that i have to start listening to the session and then get into fixing ? [15:32] i just have only one laptop running 10.10 [15:32] thats it [15:32] G__81: You can start contributing anytime you want! [15:33] G__81: Take a look at [15:33] so if its like i want to fix something in Empathy ? should i get in touch with the empathy team ... etc or can i get assistance here itself ? [15:33] [15:33] G__81: Of course you can always try to get in touch with the Empathy developers themselves directly. [15:33] THose are not in Ubuntu, of course. [15:34] i mean for the paper cuts and if the app is empathy [15:35] G__81: If you want to fix Empathy paper cuts, then you should look for reported paper cuts in Launchpad, in the list at the end of the link I just gave. [15:35] yeah its there [15:35] i had a look @ the link and i could see some empathy stuff [15:35] good [15:35] so for this should i contact the empathy team or can i get assistance if any here ? [15:36] G__81: The One Hundred Paper Cuts project is an Ubuntu project, not an Empathy one. You could contact the Empathy team of course, but you shouldn't have to.
