[02:04] hey guys. i recently upgraded from 9.04 to 10.04. It looks like the diskless config is gone from control centre. Is this true or is my stuff messed up? [02:10] no comments? [02:12] so does anyone know if there has been any progress on a dlna client (a.k.a renderer) for mythtv? [02:49] castlec: it is true. Several people have worked on it recently... I thought they were updating the wiki [02:49] worked on it to have a plugin again? [02:49] Gibby and fluvvell most recently. Some others before them [02:50] just figuring out the steps to getting it working I believe [02:50] i found some tutorials that i'm willing to follow to get it back up but it would have been helpful to play with it before upgrading [02:50] that's what I get for assuming it would be there but better :) [02:51] are others just putting disks on all of their front-ends? [03:38] After upgrade to 10.10 some of my ATSC recordings won't play back properly. [03:39] In perspective, also updated hardware [03:39] went to VDPAU amongst other things [03:39] Otherwise everything seems fine aside from a little wierdness with a streamzap remote [03:40] video problem is that playback of certain HD streams (not all) appear to be playing at about 2x speed while the sound is normal. === Gibby is now known as Gibby_away [04:50] Has anyone else had random logouts since upgrading to 10.10? I upgraded last night, and I keep getting logged out. [04:53] Yeah, that happens depending on my playback profile [04:54] Mine happens outside of MythTV too though [04:54] hmm, dunno [04:57] If I set my Playback Profile to CPU-- It crashes out the session everytime. [04:58] This is the mythfrontend.log entry: [04:58] Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. [05:03] you will want a VDPAU playback profile if your hardware can support it [05:03] if not check out slim and normal [05:03] there are a number of bugs out there, feel free to add your hardware information to one [05:04] at this point we know the root cause but aren't sure if disabling it will affect other users [05:14] I am having problems with my VDPAU [05:14] That's why I was trying other profiles, to see what I could see [05:14] arriflex: what kind of problems? [05:14] I don't intend to use it that way. [05:15] I think it is nvidia driver related [05:15] playback is mostly 2x speed [05:15] audio sync issues [05:15] frontend log shows buffer underuns, prebuffering pauses [05:15] fun [05:16] arriflex: what cpu? [05:16] cpu is an intel core 2 duo, don't remember the speed [05:16] gpu is a 210 [05:16] what vdpau profile are you using? [05:16] normal [05:17] no network invovled? [05:17] problem exists throughout the profiles [05:17] no, frontend backend combined [05:17] well you just ruled out all the reasons I've ever seen buffer underruns :) [05:17] tried non-vdpau profiles also [05:17] seems like it's probably audio driver related [05:18] arriflex: verified you are using nvidia driver and not the open source one? [05:18] yup. [05:18] 260.19.06 [05:19] or audio configuration related [05:19] took me forever to get the audio over hdmi figured out [05:20] arriflex: I would hit up the mythtv-users mailing list [05:20] could also ask #mythtv-users [05:20] !list [05:20] Sorry I don't know about list [05:20] !help [05:20] !help For a complete list of my knowledge visit: http://www.baablogic.net/Zinn.cgi Other available commands: !status, !about, !bug [bug_number]. [05:20] !mailinglist | arriflex [05:20] arriflex: The MythTV Users mailing list is located at: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/ [05:20] yeah, tried them earlier, they were sleeping [05:21] hit the mailing list and see what happens tomorrow [05:21] mythtv-users that is [05:21] thanks [05:21] you have a unique issue so you are gonna have to find someone who knows about that [05:21] sadly those take time to fix themselves normally [05:21] my issues are always unique! [05:21] good luck, and let us know what the fix is if you come to one === Gibby_away is now known as Gibby === rojo is now known as rojo^ [23:26] is there anything I can do about the abysmal flash playback in mythbrowser? [23:36] or, alternatively, another way of playing iplayer inside mythtv
