baggar11has anyone else noticed that myth-frontend takes a long time to load upon boot? at least compared to 0.22-00:06
patdk-lapbaggar11, nope, mine loads quick00:42
patdk-lapmuch quicker than 0.2200:43
quintenhi! just upgraded to 10.1000:48
quinteni have a mceusb2 IR receiver. I'm trying to program a third-party remote on it, but having a lot of trouble with irrecord00:49
quinteni'm wondering if this is a known issue. i had no trouble with the same hardware and remote in an earlier mythtv release00:49
patdk-lapheh, sounds like fun :)00:57
patdk-lapthe ir stack got completely change00:57
quintenhmm. i no longer see a mceusb2 module--is that expected?01:01
quinteni only see mceusb01:01
quintenlirc_mceusb01:01
quintenpatdk-lap: i'm willing to futz around to get it to work. any idea of a starting place? new documentation?01:01
quinteni keep getting an error "something went wrong". when i look at a file that was created with the -f option, all of the remote codes are the same01:03
patdk-lapnot really01:06
patdk-lapfrom what I understand most things, and the mceusb should work, without much issue01:06
patdk-lapbut I don't use ir, so01:06
mofushould 0.24 show up in the Repositories list in Mythbuntu-Control Center?02:05
patdk-lapI believe so02:05
patdk-lapit showed up in mcc for me, I forget exactly where or how02:06
patdk-lapbut you probably also have to update fully first02:06
mofuupdated to .23.1 . . .  having trouble with ppa.lauchpad02:07
mofuany problems with MCC thru a remote X-session?02:11

baggar11just re-adjusted my antenna to pick up a couple more channels. ran mythfilldatabase, but new stations are getting guide data, anyone run into that?03:14
baggar11I've rebooted the server and manually run mythfilldatabase a couple times, still no go03:15
baggar11hehe, new stations are "not" getting guide data. just displays unknown03:20

chilukSo I have an issue with mythvideo and the upmixer... Basically I'm trying to pass-thru the ac3 audio through an spdif to my receiver.18:56
chilukwhen I play recorded HD video with the upmixer off, my receiver recognizes it nicely as dolby digital18:57
chilukif I play transcoded dvds out of the "vidoes" folder my receiver sees it as 2 channel18:57
chilukand when I look in the menu to see the information on the audio track it is being reported as 2 channel AC3...18:58
chilukThese videos do in fact have Dolby Digital 5.1 AC3 tracks, but for whatever reason the "internal" video player refuses to pass-thru the ac3 to my receiver.  Is anyone else having this issue?18:59
Gibbywhere do you see in the menu it is 2 channel?19:19
chilukGibby, On select audio track . when I encoded the movie, I added two tracks.19:43
Gibbyahh ok19:44
chilukone should be AC3 pass-thru... the other was DTS encoded as ac3 (ffmpeg) I believe.19:44
chilukboth were showing up as 2-channel.19:44
chilukI think I need to verify that I'm not nuts, and try to play the video with vlc directly, and verify that I can get pass-thru functioning outside of myth..19:45
chilukI know it works because it worked gloriously in 9.10  *(before the upmixer).19:45
biffhero"Sue Aitken, a trained social worker" ...19:48
biffherooops, wrong channel.  ignore me.19:48
