Firefox is set up as my default browser, however when i click on a link in thunderbird, it will open the link in konqueror. This started happening after I upgraded to lucid last week [16:40] kaddi, are you on KDE? [16:40] yes [16:40] sry, sohuld have said, kubuntu 10.10, 64bit [16:40] right, it doesn't work properly, as there's no real KDE integration [16:40] ok [16:40] did you try installing thunderbird-gnome-support too? [16:40] ah.. lemme check that.. probably not, if it's something new [16:41] i guess it's falling back to x-www-browser or something, which is system config rather than a user settings [16:41] we have a KDE integration patch for firefox, i'm thinking we should probably make that work on tbird too [16:41] well I had set up user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.http", "/usr/bin/firefox"); in prefs.js which used to work fine until I did the upgrade [16:42] yeah, i'm not sure that has any effect now [16:42] it doesn't seem to have any for me :D [16:42] installing gnome support had no effect either [16:43] hmmm, i'm not sure what to advise, but this is a known problem [16:43] can I set this x-www-browser to firefox? and if so how? :p [16:46] he, got it. "sudo update-alternatives --set x-www-browser /usr/bin/firefox" worked for me. :) I just hope it won't have any other weird consequences ;) === kaddi__ is now known as kaddi === Brownout_ is now known as Brownout === BobbyM is now known as Mom === Mom is now known as BobbyM === BobbyM is now known as Daddy === Daddy is now known as BobbyM === BobbyM is now known as Mom === Mom is now known as Yoshi === Yoshi is now known as Guest53093 === Guest53093 is now known as Mom [23:07] chrisccoulson: are you taking care of the ff4-kde merge?
