=== mvetketel is now known as bogus- [15:01] Hi, with the announced autobuild rebranding and support of LTS, does this also mean that trunk will only be supported on the non-LTS releases? Or is there another reason why I can't seem to find an option to select trunk/0.25 on my two 10.04 LTS systems? [15:19] hey guys [15:20] im upgrading my 10.04 .23 system to 10.10 .24 [15:20] my backup upgraded with no issues. my frontend is diff story tho [15:20] it upgraded to 10.10 with no issues but it wont grap .24 packages. [15:20] im stuck at 10.10 w/ .23 MythTV....any suggestions [15:20] ? [15:21] Mitchell12, activate autobuilds [15:22] Mitchell2, http://mythbuntu.org/repos [15:23] i did that [15:23] do i just activate the PPA? or do i want updates? [15:23] read the link I pasted above [15:25] oh ic, cool i selcted .24 [15:25] thx [15:25] i wonder why i didnt have to do this on my backend [15:28] Mitchel12, out of curiosity, did you see an option to select 0.25/trunk on you 10.10 system? [15:28] no i didnt [15:29] ok, thanks [15:32] kenni, per policy of which releases of ubuntu will get which mythtv releases it shouldn't be on 10.10 [15:33] read "How long will you keep doing builds for my version of Ubuntu?" on mythbuntu.org/repos [15:33] basically 10.10 launched with 0.23 so it gets 0.23 and 0.24, but not 0.25 [15:33] ahh, yeah, 2 releases... [15:34] anyway, I asked that question out of curiosity as a followup to my question above about 10.04 and trunk/0.25 [15:35] according to http://mythbuntu.org/files/mythbuntu-repos.db it should be available [15:35] but 0.25 is not in the list [15:35] superm1, ^^ [15:36] oh i know what's up there [15:36] tgm4883 just fixed the repos-db a day or two ago [15:36] and we were going to wait to regenerate mythbuntu-repos package until we have all our packaging switched over to git [15:37] ahh, that would explain it, thanks [15:37] you can manually add the PPA for now [15:37] the builds are there [15:37] they just wont be updating for a little until we get everything switched around [15:37] upstream doesn't have all of git organized still too, the themes are missing [15:38] (https://github.com/MythTV/themes) [15:38] [github.com] MythTV's themes - GitHub [15:39] no worries, I haven't even setup my git-setup myself yet...I'll wait until Beirdo and jannau calls it stable :) [15:48] kenni, not sure how much of the conversation in #mythtv you've watched the last few days. the original plan was going to be having our packaging directly in git including helper scripts and debian/ directory [15:48] so you would have been able to just call the helper script and spit out debs [15:48] but with the way things got reorganized / split and isaac not wanting packaging in the main branch that's probably not going to happen now [15:49] but everything *was* reworked and ready to when the light switch was flipped, just Beirdo and jannau changed it all last minute [15:49] superm1, yep I saw that [15:50] i'm still a bit bitter about the whole thing, but i dont have enough weight to influence change [15:51] understandable...I haven't read all of the backlog though, too much git-conversion stuff being discussed which doesn't interest me much
