[04:17] <Guest15047> i looked on the myth web site and it said to use 192.168.1 for the master and to add that to the mysql file but when i tried to access the file i was unable, because i did not have root access even though im the only one using the computer

[04:21] <rhpot1991> if you are doing a separate frontend just make sure you do a few things:
[04:21] <rhpot1991> 1. in mythtv-setup make sure you use the outwards facing ip (not 127.0.0.1 or localhost)
[04:21] <rhpot1991> 2. enable the mysql service in mythbuntu-control-centre
