[03:24] hey TkCientista [03:24] holstein fale amigo, tudo bom? [03:24] your looking for info on soft-synths? [03:24] holstein hi, [03:24] holstein hi, are you ok? [03:24] holstein I want to learn install the vst [03:25] http://wootangent.net/category/music/tutorials/ [03:25] in this site [03:25] here are some tutorials a friend made [03:25] have a good tuto? [03:25] you can try #opensourcemusicians [03:25] good [03:25] guuy [03:25] i will try [03:26] TkCientista: is that spanish? [03:26] language? [03:26] i am from Brasil [03:26] you could try #musix [03:26] thats a similar distro to ubuntu [03:26] hu... [03:26] a distro made to muscians? [03:27] like ubuntustudio [03:27] but spanish speaking [03:27] if thats helpful [03:27] no portuguese [03:27] you dont have to use the distro [03:27] understand [03:27] theres a guy from brazil that comes here often enough though :) [03:27] dude, already back, [03:27] i'm doing a soup for me, === JesusFreak316_ is now known as JesusFreak316 [06:20] eeveryone here [06:20] sleep [06:20] and tired [13:01] Anyone know if US uses JACK by default? [13:12] Kubuntiac, no, you will have to start it in order to use the JACK sound server, by default Pulse Audio is used [13:13] k thx [13:13] although I typically use Pulse Audio for mundane tasks (listening to music, YouTube) and JACK for creating and recording my own music [13:13] ScottL: I'm looking at setting up an install of US, solely for multimedia work [13:13] so no need for pulse [13:14] I just want to get rid of that ^*$%&^% latency in Kdenlive / Ardour [13:15] Then I have Kubuntu for non production stuff [13:17] ah, you might also look at KXStudio (which is based on Ubuntu Studio) which only uses JACK I believe, he got rid of Pulse Audio [13:17] even comes as a LiveCD [13:18] Nice. The thought of nixing pulse gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.... [13:18] will look up kx [13:18] thx! [13:24] heh... looks like kxstudio *does* have pulse now from reading their site. They have JAck2 by default though and just route pulse through it, which I can live with. Just wish it was 10.10 based, not 10.04 as Kdenlive <0.78 is very buggy [13:26] Kubuntiac, go to #kxstudio and ask falktx to package a later version of Kdenlive, he's very accomodating [13:26] ok, will do. Thanks again! [13:27] * Blank__ is a fan of KX [13:27] yeah, i'd like to be using Kdenlive if it weren't so buggy [13:27] doesn't like dealing with my DV files >.< [13:28] 0.7.8 seems more stable... but ever since 0.6.9 I've had unusable audio lag [13:30] oh... [13:31] everything looks fine in Kdenlive, but the moment you render >.< [13:33] i wasn't even getting that far [13:33] I would drop the hour and a half DV file in, all is good until you play it a bit then it spazzes out [13:34] anyway, must sleep... talk later
