cjohnstonmornin15:37
czajkowskicjohnston: busy night 17:49
paultagHello, world!18:38
vorianyo paultag19:29
vorianwhat't the plan for -ID?19:30
czajkowskivorian: we sent you a mail back there before Christmas regarding it 19:31
paultagyo vorian 19:31
vorianczajkowski: i remember no such mailing :(19:31
* vorian see's it now19:33
czajkowskiit was sent on the 17th december19:33
vorianso pretty much butt out and let the team continue to fail19:34
vorianI can do that19:34
czajkowskivorian: please don't see it that way, see it as a way to help them 19:34
vorianthey don't seem to want my help19:35
vorianwhich is cool, they are all 6 hours away from me19:35
czajkowskiwell have you talked to them? in a meeting or something ?19:35
vorianthey don't have meetings, or use the ml, or use the forums19:36
czajkowskiso how do they communicate?19:36
vorianI havent been let in on that secret19:36
vorianI would love to help, but these guys have no idea of a loco team, and frankly it doesn't look like they care19:37
vorianmaybe I would be better suited in mentoring a team who want's help19:38
czajkowskivorian: no need to say things like let in on a secrete it's not very helpful :s19:40
pleia2vorian: if there isn't a strong leader in a team reaching out to ask for help, a mentor isn't going to be very effective anyway19:40
czajkowskipleia2: hiya!19:41
pleia2hi czajkowski :)19:41
vorianI don't think Idaho would be my choice of teams to mentor at this point19:41
pleia2a team has to want to help itself, mostly when I "mentor" teams it means I hang out in their channel and when they have a question they just ping me, I don't push them in any direction, I don't give advice unless asked directly, it works very well, the team just needs to know they can ask me, or here, or the loco council, or *someone* when they have questions19:42
czajkowskivorian: maybe just sit back and wait and see. If it's not meant to be it's not meant to be, but they are trying even in their own way19:42
czajkowskipleia2: aye that s the correct way to mentor I beleive19:42
vorianright19:43
czajkowskigoals and timelines right now, won't help a team perform imo 19:43
voriantrue, but activities would help out a lot19:45
czajkowskivorian: I know, but if the team can they will, if they can't forcing them to become active won't help them in the long run 19:46
czajkowskiit'll only be a stop gap 19:46
czajkowskiand that's not helpful 19:46
* vorian and team was able to get Ohio approved in 3 months19:47
paultagBRB19:47
czajkowskivorian: just because you can do it in 3months doesn't make it a good thing, or something all teams should strive for 19:48
czajkowskiif it takes 3 months, 13 months or 3 years 19:48
czajkowskias long as a team are happy and being active it really doesn't matter tbh 19:48
vorianit seemed quite the accomplishment at the time, it's too bad it's looked down on now days19:49
czajkowskivorian: I did not say that at all. I'm saying it may not be the goal for every team 19:49
czajkowskijust because you tick the boxes doesn't make it all good 19:49
czajkowskia team is more than that imo 19:50
vorianyes, clearly I don't fit in with Idaho19:50
vorianfor shame19:50
