[03:48] maybe thats what im missing [03:49] chroot...the word burns my ears [03:49] ...and in this instance my eyes [03:49] grub or grub2 [03:49] grub can be self healing [03:50] zillah: I might be misremembering from working on a tablet hand held [03:51] i think it would make sense i'll definitely try [03:51] http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=224351 [03:53] ok my problem is when i use find /boot/grub/stage1 is get file not found [03:54] is the hard drive fucked? [03:55] that should return where grub was installed right? [03:56] it should. i can mount the drive and everything looks normal from what i can tell [03:59] if you scroll on down in that forum post you will find this Mine was a slightly different story. I couldn't get grub to find the stage1 file or even recognize my drive. So I borrowed some knowledge I picked up while using Gentoo: [04:00] ah ok [04:01] he used sudo grub [04:05] ill try his method tomorrow [04:06] it looks like a winner to me [04:06] winner winner chicken dinner [04:07] fyi, i rarely give content...just useless filler [04:07] thank the gods for the community [04:08] ok i have another question too if anybody can suggest something [04:08] i need a caldav client that can display calendars in seperate columns outlook style [04:09] wow who needs that! [04:14] just a bunch of forum posts about outlook [04:14] shit [04:15] I guess they are stuck with outlook unless they grow a pair and accept a little change [04:15] :P [04:16] thats what jennifer said too [04:17] heh [04:17] damn now I sound like her. #FML [04:17] dammit like I am on twitter or something [04:18] lmfao loser [04:19] I do my tweeting in an Irssi window ;) [04:21] hmmm ive never used that [04:22] you know I have never had a fear of using new interfaces. so wtf? [04:25] not me [04:26] me either [04:35] i forgot my ubuntu laptop at work :( [04:36] zillah: move to evolution [04:37] for outlook style calenders [04:37] there is also some very good open source options out there. don't know how google works, as i've never liked their privacy issues [04:37] its *nix only though right? [04:38] eikga? [04:38] er, sorry. yes, some are *nix only, but many have Oss windows clients as well [04:38] evolution [04:39] ah, sorry, no there is a windows fork, though i'm not sure how well it was supported [04:40] http://alternativeto.net/software/microsoft-office-outlook/ [04:41] cool thanks [04:42] http://www.spicebird.com/content/calendar-tab [04:44] the issue i've run into with them is that they want each calendar in daily view to have its own seperate column [04:45] workweek?
