[17:25] not sure [17:25] you mean the restore section [17:31] no to claim for the win that you dont want [17:33] typical [17:44] drubin: ping [17:45] superfly: pin [17:46] Kilos: you wil lbe glad to know [17:46] ubutnu-netbook busy installing [17:47] what Morganvd [17:48] i said you will be happy to know that ubuntu-netbook is installing on my netbook [17:55] oh yes i do a jig everytime windows gets dumped [17:56] but its taking long [17:56] you installing alongside [17:56] nope [17:57] i removed all traces of windows [17:57] it installs here in about 35mins [17:57] good [18:01] i usualy install under 10 min [18:01] but the installer keeps crashing right now [18:02] wow thats nice [18:02] eish [18:02] i justdownloaded a new ISO [18:02] i preffer 10.04 netbook [18:02] not a major fan of unity yet [18:02] but im trying 10.10 netbook [18:03] realy funny keeps droping the usb [18:03] input error [18:03] ok. i find 10.10 more work than 10.04 as well [18:03] eish [18:06] k time to find a 10.04 netbook addition [18:06] this is not funny [18:47] superfly: pong [18:48] night all sleep tight [19:05] hi morganvd: i also had trouble with one of the current ubuntu releases a while back, but i think it was 10.4 not 10.10. had some trouble with an old ati radeon card, wouldn't start up with it i think. hope 11.4 will sort yours and my prob out. [19:06] my installer just crashes [19:07] have you tried some googlin'? anyone have same prob? [19:13] ot, i'm still wondering when, if at all, the synaptic/apt/yum (is it yum?) guys are gonna implement diff downloads for package updates. anyone heard anything about this? it would use up so much less cap. but i bet ms would never do it for windows, you know them.. [19:14] dwidge: yum already can do stuff like that. but it makes merging them together so much harder [19:20] dwidge: what machine you trying to install on [19:25] it was a celeron desktop with an ati 9500 card [19:25] when i took the card out it worked [19:26] can't remember exact details of what happened, long time ago, but i think it was the live cd that wouldn't start up, it stalled [19:27] it stalled after the dos-like menu of the cd, but before desktop loaded [19:29] i found an interesting thread talking about the yum diff thingy, if anoyone interested: [19:29] https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-test-list/2006-April/msg00172.html [19:31] drubin, haven't found anything other than that thread on yum.. [19:32] oh wait a mo, now i did. called yum-presto it seems. cool [19:38] thanks drubin for the hint [21:07] dwidge: i sorted my issue out [21:07] it was the iso [21:07] used a older iso and it works right now [21:55] hmm now that is interesting [21:56] iirc, i downloaded my iso pretty early [21:56] that might have had something to do with my prob as well [21:57] it didn't say beta or anything, but maybe it was some prerelease of sorts [21:59] or did you mean you're now using the older iso, which is working? [22:53] fp [22:53] not good :/ it's 0:54 already [22:54] I'm gonna die by friday
