gnoobXFCE power manger icon says that my UPS box is fully charged.  So it knows it exists.  Are there settings for controlling the automatic shutdown but I am not seeing them?05:19
lightagnoob, do you mean auto shutdown when you battery is full ?05:38
gnooblighta, auto shutdown when the UPS box is low on battery.05:40
Mokura(10.10) I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to change the login screen theme.  Nothing in Session and Startup settings, and apparently gnome-appearance-properties doesn't exist.  Although that could be due to user confusion, I've tried googling the problem with little luck.05:41
lightafor me I simply right click on battery then choose preference and set auto shutdown for a lvl of battery05:41
lightaMokura, are you using Xfce or gnome ?05:41
Mokuraxfce05:42
Mokuradefault w/Xubuntu install.05:42
gnooblighta, you have a "battery" tab on your power manager preferences?  I have "General" "On AC" an "Extended".05:42
MokuraI figured gnome settings things wouldn't exist, but I'm kind of new and I figured I'd try anyway. *shrug*05:42
lightayes gnoob but for your issue05:44
MokuraI find it odd that the default setup app gives me the ability to change the splash animation, but not the theme or login background.05:44
lightashould you go on batterie05:44
lightachoose critique05:44
lightathen set shutdown05:44

lightawhat are we talking about exactly ?05:45
lightabackground or login ?05:45
Mokurapreferably both, like changing a theme, but05:46
Mokuralogin screen BG would be a nice start05:46
Mokura(it's currently the default xubuntu wallpaper, and I already changed my desktop wallpaper.)05:47
MokuraI'm talking about changing the theme for the login, where it asks for user/password/etc.  I can change desktop stuff (after I've logged in) just fine.05:49
lightaok ok Mokura05:53
MokuraAh, sorry05:53
lightanot a problem I was just remenbering05:53
lightaI think it's on menu, parameter, starting and session05:54

lightaah yeah that odd gnoob,06:00
Mokura...that changes the image used for the splash.06:02
Mokuraat the rate I'm going it might be easier just to use gnome, but I'd much prefer xfce. <_>06:03
lightawell I think you can change value in06:06
lightamenu, parameter, parameter editor06:06
lightajust need to found the good option06:06
lightabrb what do I have again06:09
Mokurawell bodge.06:18

gnoobI had to look up what doge meant.06:19
gnoobbodge06:19
MokuraI have no idea if it means anything06:20
MokuraI just used it as a term of exasperation.06:20
gnoob1. Informal to make a mess of; botch06:20
gnoob2. Austral informal to make or adjust in a false or clumsy way I bodged the figures06:20
Mokuraahaha06:20

Mokurathanks for trying06:23
Mokura-hm06:24
Mokurawhat annoys me is, apparently this login BG thing (GDM?) was possible06:25
Mokurahttp://softsolder.com/2009/04/02/changing-the-xubuntu-8-10-gdm-login-splash-screen/06:25
Mokurabut /usr/share/gdm/themes/xubuntu apparently doesn't exist in 10.1006:25
