[13:14] well parts of it are for the device, minus the android stuff [13:15] have you compiled it yourself ? [13:15] yes [13:15] did you make sure all options needed for a recent udev are enabled (i.e. signalfd comes to mind) [13:15] no i didnt [13:16] k, that should be the first step you take [13:16] then make sure that all your modules for your input devices are in your rootfs before rolling the initrd [13:16] they should end up in the initrd [13:17] and be automatically loaded by udev [13:17] all of the drivers modules are in place, but i have a lack of input without a touch keyboard [13:17] ah [13:18] how about usb ? [13:18] can you attach a usb kbd ? [13:18] no [13:18] hmm, tricky [13:18] there is a keyboard attachment but i dont have one myself [13:19] then i assume its guesswork for the root= cmdline option [13:20] under the android mapping it is /dev/block/mmcblk0p3 [13:20] but i have no idea here :/ [13:20] well, if its the same kernel it might end up with the same name [13:20] else i would just try /dev/mmcblk0p3 [13:20] ok [13:21] so are there any specific kernel options that i should be looking for to enable udev support [13:21] google for it, i dont know all of them from the top of my head [13:22] signalfd is definitely one [13:22] syvipc and ipc_ns too i think [13:23] and sysvipc_sysctl [13:23] google might be more precise though [13:29] * ogra is out for the day [13:34] later ogra [13:35] and thanks [13:35] i had 1 option in the kernel config that would have prevented udev working [13:40] lilstevie: Which one?
