The system is up and everything works... but hen I put my password in to start synaptic it tells me it's wrong... yet I can login an sudo with the same password. Anyone have any ideas? sh'es not too good with command line stuff [01:51] Mossyfunk: You got it working with the miniISO? :) [01:51] yup all good [01:51] ysorted that password issue haha should have googles >_> [01:51] What? [02:01] need to make the synaptic shortcut run gksudo instead of gksu [02:01] but whenever i change the command in the shortcut properties it just changes it back to gksu [06:58] good morning every1 [09:55] anyone a good ftp client and webeditor for HTML? ( gnome-keyring ) [20:07] hi === JoeSett is now known as JoeMaverickSett === Timo__ is now known as Timo_ === Timo_ is now known as Guest30325 [20:46] is there a way to find out what the max on memory is without opening de desktop ? e.g. via System profiler ? [20:51] hello guys [20:51] i cant make this adio extention to work even installed vlc plugin [20:51] https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hgjdhckebbdoobhniheihpdogeoeelbn# [20:54] any idea guys ?? === Guest69915 is now known as jmarsden [20:55] Requires Windows Media Player plugin or VLC media player with Mozilla plugin to play the radio streams. [20:55] hosoka: yeh im on linux so i used vlc plugin [20:56] hosoka: this sudo apt-get install vlc vlc-plugin-pulse mozilla-plugin-vlc [20:56] but still doesnt wok hosoka [20:56] not realy familiar with this [20:57] hosoka: ohh okies tnx anyway [20:58] have seen that not every one got this working. [20:58] looking at the reviews [20:58] using Chrome or Chromium / [20:59] chomuim yeh i jst ead that in cmmt [20:59] i guess it works with googlwe chrome [21:00] in your general settings what do you see in Active Plugin ? [21:00] wht general ?? where ?? [21:01] if you go to options [21:01] you either need to use the debug page from [21:01] chrome-extension://hgjdhckebbdoobhniheihpdogeoeelbn/player-debug.html [21:01] ahh this Could not find a plugin. [21:01] indeed [21:01] so from there on you sort it out. [21:02] you will also see how you can troubleshoot this. [21:02] but there is an email where to sent this out. [21:02] think probs Google [21:03] also check out [21:03] chrome-extension://hgjdhckebbdoobhniheihpdogeoeelbn/help.html#no-plugin [21:04] yeh i saw this one [21:04] n tried to install wht it takes but no succes [21:06] use the debug list and sent out to their emailaddress. [21:06] after installing have you close and open the browser back / [21:07] yehh [21:13] alright [21:13] run the test at the Player Debug [21:13] and then for further help, please use the Give feedback form. [21:13] include the test results in there. [21:15] yeh ill but [21:15] i wanna keep it as the last option [21:15] :D [21:16] just tried it and it gives me same fault as what you have now. [21:17] hosoka: even afte installin the plugins?? [21:17] indeed [21:17] so what I did is Run Tests [21:18] and even there it mentioned in the output that there might be at least 5 failures [21:18] have you done that test ? [21:18] yehh [21:18] the Player Debug ? [21:18] they said even thweres some failurs it will work but it didint :P [21:22] indeed. [21:22] I will sent them my debuglist [21:22] hopefully it can be sorten out. [21:22] could not help you further on this. [21:23] even i do not use vlc but just downloaded it and it just works fine without using it with that radio player [21:23] so I do not think it is on the vlc. [21:31] where can I find the default desktop image of Lubuntu ? [21:36] bk [21:37] hosoka: it worked ?? [21:37] nah [21:37] still the same [21:37] have sent the debuglist to Andreas. He seems to be the man behind this. [21:38] yeh well me i embe a few month ago [21:38] under windows i faced this poblem [21:41] and now also under linux :-) [21:43] yesh :P [21:44] that is not good [21:45] indeed === jens is now known as Guest31815 === Guest31815 is now known as NRWlion [22:30] hello [22:31] Hai odium_ :) [22:32] the installatipn told me that i can find help here =) [22:33] Great :) [22:34] because after the installation i don't have any programs in the start bar, and i can't connect to any WLAN (they're there, but the password windows appears just for an instance) [22:35] Odd... [22:35] Did you do a normal installation? [22:36] i think so^^ [22:37] i installed from a live usb, and under the usb all is working fine [22:37] Even more odd <_<" [22:37] Let me see if I can boot my VM.... [22:37] If anyone else could aid, it would be appreciated :P [22:37] odium_: whts u prob ?? [22:39] kosaidpo|: it seems that i don't have any programms after installation and can't access any Wlan, because the password window vanishes in an instant [22:39] ohh thats weird [22:40] and i had hoped that it's just a "look at the faq" problem :D [22:41] odium_: No, your special :D [22:41] i hate being special :D [22:43] Even if that means you'd get special care? [22:47] that was my plan too [22:48] But it should probably have been a /data...learned that later [22:48] Or better put...I still need to read about it :P [22:48] ok, i installed it again, lets try and hope === odium is now known as odium_ [22:53] it worked! [23:07] Or was that on Windows? :P [23:07] linux [23:08] there are linux viruses^^ (ok, i guess the half of them runs on java...) [23:10] odium_: I know....it's not worth my effort :D [23:12] yeah, i am now thinking the same, at least about live scanners.
