[12:39] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/DocumentationHelp/MinimalInstall [12:39] hungmanmoojoo: Yes :) [12:39] JoeMaverickSett: Yes :) [12:39] But there are a few commands to use before you can install Lubuntu :) [12:40] (There isn't a lubuntu-desktop meta package in the repos yet ;)) [12:41] dagn [12:41] dang [12:41] even [12:41] Dang? If that fails wait a few hours and retry so it has time to sync [16:48] head_victim: okies thnaks [16:48] ill === wolfpack is now known as Guest33039 [17:07] Skypes servers are a bit wacky <_<" [17:09] Everytime I've had installation problems with packages it's turned out that the mirror I was using was halfway through a resync. So if I left it an hour or two it would just work again. [17:16] head_victim: i forgot to tell you itried last night to install it but got same thing as today : D [17:17] kosaidpo|: oh in that case I'd suggest possibly trying a different mirror. If that doesn't work please pastebin the exact error message [17:17] Unfortunately I am about to head to bed (it's 320 am here) but phillw or bioterror might be able to help you out further if need be [17:18] here you go http://pastebin.com/552v48fS [17:18] wow go rest head_victim n sleep tight [17:18] Did you get errors with the "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade" ? [17:18] Oh, night mate [17:25] what changes are in store for Lubuntu 11.04? I know about the changes in Ubuntu 11.04 but what about Lubuntu 11.04? === wolfpack__ is now known as wolfpack === wolfpack is now known as Guest66286 === Guest66286 is now known as wolfpack === jens_ is now known as NRWlion [18:55] hi [18:56] hi odium [22:32] hi guys [22:32] can ozone be used in Maverick?? [22:41] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu/Artwork/Incoming/Natty/Ozone [22:42] Nah. Just download the packages and install them [22:42] yeah I've seen that, it's where I got the components I applied manually [22:43] it's just the theme I can't apply [22:43] Where have you put it? [22:43] I have ozone_theme.tag.gz but I'm not sure where to use it [22:43] Right. First you need to decompress it [22:44] ok, done [22:44] Try clicking on the icon and see if Xarchiver pops up [22:44] I used guake (Terminal( [22:45] Is terminal in the folder that the directory for ozone is in? [22:45] Yeah It generated an Ozone folder with 2 subfolders, gtk-2.0 and openbox-3 [22:46] Okay. open a terminal in the desktop folder [22:46] Which is where I assume the ozone folder is [22:46] its in downloads but doesn't matter, I can adapt [22:47] Okay. So open a terminal in that folder then type [22:47] sudo cp ~/downloads/ozone /usr/share/themes [22:47] ahhhhhh thats the magic bullet [22:47] Adapt as needed [22:48] It's Downloads, right? [22:48] Yeah its in /usr/share/themes now :) [22:49] Got it now :) [22:49] cheers dude. Massive help [22:49] K. Now open obconf [22:50] Got it, set theme to ozone there :) [22:50] You'll need to import it first [22:50] yeah it's all good dude, looks like the screenshots now [22:51] Excellent [22:51] cheers man, I'll see if I can make a script for this so we can have a deb for the theme ;) [22:51] Cool :D [22:51] make the appropriate changes in postinst [22:51] etc [22:51] Yeah [22:52] I'll email the list when I have something decent [22:52] k [22:53] recommend gloss blue theme for chrome too, matches the theme nice [22:53] https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/images/thumb_glossyblue.jpg [22:54] You can sort of use the GTK theme in Chromium [22:54] It doesn't pick it up very well, though [22:59] yeah its always been kinda rubbish like that [22:59] anyways bedtime kids [22:59] thanks again :) [22:59] peace [23:00] wait! (process:235): GlibWarning **: get pwuid_r() failed due to unknown user id (0) [23:15] Hello [23:27] I have lubuntu installed in one hard disk inside a PC I am going to send it away, can I just plug this disk to another PC to have lubuntu? [23:29] I should think so [23:29] Or maybe shall I reinstall it to make it work? [23:29] Can you actually remove the hdd? [23:30] In this moment? No, I can't, it's working [23:30] but I will tomorrow if it works [23:32] K [23:34] Mark, this disk is 10 Gb, can I copy it to another with 80 Gb with no problem? [23:35] Probably [23:35] I've never done that [23:36] You know, thing is, I had one 800 Mhz PIII with this 10 Gb disk, and i installed lubuntu there going very well [23:36] What happened? [23:37] I have been given a 3 Ghz PIV with 80 Gb disk and what I wanted is to "pass" it to this new one [23:37] Fair enough [23:38] My question is, if I need a special application to copy image of the little disk or not [23:42] Ok, I will do it just that way
