ray_I've never understood this. About 6 months ago I learned how to make launchers and set the image for the icon being used. What format should an image be for making an icon a little bigger or smaller for the icons being used?08:15
ray_I have Gimp but I am still learning. I just learned how to add transparency to the back ground of images08:15
ray_Of coarse there is no end to learning in life.08:16
ray_I found this little quote from a link but I don't understand it:08:17
ray_In the dialogue to resize the image is a chain link between the two entries. Click on it to "break" the chain, and now each dimension can be rescaled without affecting the other.08:17
ray_From here:08:18
ray_http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080227081025AAQb2OO08:18
ray_Wait a minute. I think I got it.08:19
ray_Wow, I didn't know this but there is a little chain like image between the right and left under image, scale image08:20
ray_Nice. Take care all08:20
ray_Well that didn't work. I mean although the image I wanted to make taller is taller. The icon is still the same size. It's so small. How do I make it bigger without having to change it by right clicking the launcher and choosing stretch icon.08:25
ray_I mean I want to make it so when I go to the image I am choosing as an icon so that it is the size I want by default08:26
duanedesignhello08:27
duanedesignray_: you can make all your icons bigger08:29
duanedesignbut it sounds like you only want 1 icon to be bigger?08:29

johnny77what is update-apt-xapi?13:01
Artirjohnny77, a bastard program that indexes packages so that you can use quick search in synaptic13:01
Artirjohnny77, sometimes it tends to use quite a lot of CPU13:02
johnny77Artir: it was pulling about 50% of my CPU for a few minutes.13:02
BodsdaArtir: Please try and keep it family friendly in here buddy13:03
ArtirBodsda, sorry. Won't happen again.13:03
Bodsdaappreciated13:03
johnny77I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I had to worry about.13:04
Artirjohnny77, don't wory. It isn't. If it really bugs you, you can just end the process.13:04
johnny77Artir: don't bother, just curious. Thank you.13:04
johnny77I think I'm having problems with my mouse. Is there some way to monitor mouse behavior?16:07
