ftamicahg, downgrading openarena from -7 to -5 fixed the regression \o/00:17
micahgfta: what  was the regression again?00:17
ftafreeze on quit after a network game (always) and occasionally during a game00:18
ftadpkg --get-selections | grep openarena | sed -e 's/install/hold/' | dpkg --set-selections00:20
Dimmuxxwhat's the plan for firefox 5,6,7.. in natty? Will it get them when they are released or will it be 4.0.1+ instead?00:26
micahgDimmuxx: err, well, we'll see :)00:28
micahgFirefox will probably be updated, xulrunner may or may not follow00:28
Dimmuxxyeah I'm not so sure we will see 5 before 11.10 anyways ;)00:29
micahgacoording to their plan, we should see 6 by then :)00:29
micahgbut we can discuss 11.10 at UDS :)00:29
Dimmuxxyeah I've seen the plan but they usually don't follow their plans. Hopefully 4 is final before 11.04 at least00:30
micahgchrisccoulson_: I seem to recall a guide to porting to xul 2.0 somewhere, do you know where?02:14
chrisccoulson_micahg - i don't think there's a guide as such02:15
micahgchrisccoulson_: did you write something?02:15
chrisccoulson_micahg - i wanted to, but never got round to it ;)02:15
micahgah, hmm, I failed twice on porting last night02:15
chrisccoulson_what did you try with?02:15
micahglibjavascript-perl and libjdic-java (this one I was closer on)02:16
chrisccoulson_heh :)02:16
chrisccoulson_i'm finding that pretty much anything which uses spidermonkey needs fairly significant changes02:16
chrisccoulson_gxine is a good example there ;)02:17
chrisccoulson_and google-gadgets, which i just gave up on in the end02:17
micahgyes, that's libjavascript-perl, I seem to just be having path issues with libjdic-java02:17

nonix4micahg: setting network.dnsCacheEntries and network.dnsCacheExpiration to zero does make it send a dns query for bugs.launchpad.net, but it still doesn't even attempt to connect. Doing that I noticed another bug: right-click->reset on those setting resets type to string instead of integer in a way that prevents changing it back to integer from the UI later on.10:43
ftachrisccoulson_, http://src.chromium.org/svn/branches/648/src/chrome/browser/resources/gpu_blacklist.json13:26
ftais there something equivalent in ff?13:27
chrisccoulson_fta - yeah, sort of13:28
chrisccoulson_fta - firefox is using a whitelist instead, and only whitelists the binary NVIDIA driver atm13:28
chrisccoulson_(and it's hardcoded too, although it can be overridden)13:28
ftahm13:30
ftachrisccoulson_, btw, did you have time to have a look at breakpad just yet?13:35
ftachrisccoulson_, sorry for being pushy, i'd like to have it for ch10 which is arriving soon13:35
chrisccoulson_fta - i started, but i've not spent much time on it yet. i've been given lots of alpha 3 bugs to fix this week13:36

ftachrisccoulson_, yep, makes sense. fixing crashes take precedence over reporting them better ;)13:47

ftaasac, it's in trunk, so ch11 has it19:16
ftaoh, it's been reverted19:18
micahgfta: did you get my message about openarena?19:18
ftaasac, reverted because of valgrind: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=7239919:20
ftamicahg, yep, what did you change?19:20
micahgfta: it was built against a different version of ioquake then it's running against19:21
LLStarkshmm. is the addressbar on the add-on list tab staying or going?19:21
ftamicahg, i'm on i386 here :(19:25
micahgfta: np, I can rebuild for that too :)19:25

micahgfta: openarena i386 on my p.u.c page21:01
micahggnomefreak: nope21:01

ftagnomefreak, you probably removed it with a dist-upgrade earlier today, check your /var/log/apt/history.log21:11
ftamicahg, same, it freezes21:46
micahgfta: ok, thanks, now at least I know the build ioquake version isn't the issue21:46
micahgfta: are you using the old openarena with the new ioquake?21:47
ftamicahg, ioquake from natty, and your openarena21:47
micahgfta: right, but when you downgrade to 0.8.5-5, that's with the new ioquake as well, right?21:48
ftamicahg, -5 doesn't need ioquake321:48
micahgweird21:48
fta-5 works well without any ioquake21:48
micahgfta: ok, I have to dig further, I'll pull both versions and diff and see if there's anything obvious21:49
