[06:07] I get "E: Build-Depends dependency for xserver-xorg-video-ati cannot be satisfied because no available versions of package xserver-xorg-dev can satisfy version requirements" [12:23] good afternoon everyone, [12:24] iwas pointed over here, because i had found a gpulockup bug under natty on my eeepc. [12:24] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/730099 [12:24] Launchpad bug 730099 in xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) "[i915gm] GPU lockup 0c40b170 (ESR: 0x00000001 IPEHR: 0x02000011) (affects: 1) (heat: 6)" [Undecided,New] [13:49] there are 30+ bugs all with WARNING at radeon_fence.c:248 radeon_fence_wait+ wither 2ea,36f,365,23a, 24e - I know there isn't normally duping of kernel bugs, but is there something that should be done to mark those as all related? [13:50] (doing a launchpad search for radeon_fence_wait is the easiest way to get a list) [13:51] or is that just the path many separate bugs eventually land at? [15:17] hi, is there a separate channel for xorg-edgers? [15:19] in case there is not: I added the drivers-only PPA but there seems to be no package list for Maverick... http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/drivers-only/ubuntu/dists/maverick/main/binary-amd64/Packages.gz gives a 404 [15:20] https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/drivers-only [15:21] Is there no updates driver support for maverick, and will there be any in the future? or should I be looking elsewhere? === Azelphur is now known as zz_Azelphur === zz_Azelphur is now known as Azelphur === Azelphur is now known as zz_Azelphur === zz_Azelphur is now known as Azelphur === Azelphur is now known as zz_Azelphur === zz_Azelphur is now known as Azelphur [20:13] I really need help, the freeze bug I keep complaining about has worsened [20:14] my PC will now lock up for 30-60 seconds over and over, it's actually usable for less time than it's frozen now [20:14] and thus is completely unusable [22:12] There is a bug that causes xv video playback to have strange colors on rv350. I went to bisect ddx but now I see that the bug is somehow related to xorg-edgers repo because I installed master xf86-video-ati to /opt/xorg and if I point X to load these modules, video playback is fine. However even after ppa-purging and reinstalling xorg-edgers, the problem persists. I also have confirmed at least one other person had this issue using xorg-edger === Azelphur is now known as zz_Azelphur === zz_Azelphur is now known as Azelphur === Azelphur is now known as zz_Azelphur === zz_Azelphur is now known as Azelphur
