[14:23] where can I find partman-auto-recipe.txt or some examples [14:25] I'm trying to setup bare box with maverick=6g, natty=6g, swap=1g, home=rest === cjwatson_ is now known as cjwatson [14:38] 5~5~/wk [15:16] ev: do you have grub-pc installed on the system where you build wubi? [15:16] ev: IOW would it be an inconvenience for wubi to start build-depending on grub-pc? [15:18] actually, silly question, it clearly already implicitly does [15:55] ev: on ubiquity do you still have the ability to move grub to sdb for example, it used to be under advanced on the overview page [16:01] cjwatson: indeed, it's why I occasionally do wubi builds even when there's no changes to it [16:01] perhaps we should formalize that a bit more? [16:01] davmor2: it still is [16:02] cool [16:05] ev: oh, I'm less bothered about that, just working out if I can use the ntldr-img extra built into grub2 rather than wubi's private copy [16:05] that said, it doesn't immediately help :-/ [16:05] but one less place to maintain that code .. [16:11] ah,gotcha [16:30] ev, well i'm glad debian already fixed it :) [16:31] curious, how is apt-clone using it? i haven't looked over the code that closely, but doesn't it need to already be in the chroot of the system to work? [16:32] argh, the wubi mbr is utterly incomprehensible [16:32] 7000 lines of spaghetti assembler [16:32] well, not that that's wubi code as such, it's ntldr-img, but wubi is the only thing we support that uses it [16:47] My Ubuntu-Server LiveCD is hosted on one of Ubuntu machine and exported as directory by NFS. I am using Pxelinux to boot mini from local Server as well. But, Installing machine cannot mount exported directory from Local NFS Server directory as /CDROM. My Installation is stopped at try to load package from /CDROM. Is this possible? If yes, please tell me how to do this. [16:49] http://dpaste.de/RrEa/ d-i partman-auto/expert_recipe string - creates/formats partitions for a maverick install, including a 6g sda2 for /natty. In my natty install, how do I tell it to use the existing partition table? [16:49] trying to make a duel boot: maverick/natty. [16:55] superm1: hm, I hadn't noticed that. Yikes. [16:56] I had bare machine and need install Ubuntu Server [16:56] I'll have to dig deeper on Wednesday (have to run shortly and am travelling to Pycon tomorrow) [17:03] ev: me too [17:06] CarlFK: oh? You're attending Pycon? [17:06] ev: kinda. I do the videos. which means I don't really get to attend ;/ [17:07] aw, tis a shame [17:08] pycon 2009/10 "748,905 Views" and a bunch of thank-you emails. that makes it worth it. [17:13] :) [17:27] ev, well i haven't actually tried it or dug through the apt-clone code, so maybe mvo had some swanky way to handle it [17:27] but if need be, you can always just copy /usr/bin/dpkg-repack into /tmp of the chroot if it's not already in the chroot's $PATH [17:28] it's a pretty straightforward script [19:31] ubiquity: superm1 * r4560 ubiquity/ (bin/oem-config-remove-gtk debian/changelog): Fix oem-config-remove-gtk for changes in multiarch.
