[06:44] <Piggie> they can leave some remnants, modify  some stuff

[06:44] <Sysi> that's why we have package manager
[06:45] <Piggie> I’ve tested in the past on Ubuntu
[06:45] <Sysi> i think it's easier than gathering all the little programs you happen to need
[06:45] <Piggie> remove all the packages so its the same as minimal
[06:45] <Piggie> then compare the filesystem to minimal
[06:45] <Piggie> theres a lot of “stuff”
[06:45] <Piggie> just little bits of things.
[06:46] <Sysi> if you had something other than basic ubuntu there has been left dependencies behind
[06:46] <Sysi> or if you didn't really remove all
[06:46] <Sysi> use aptitude, it removes everything
[06:47] <Sysi> and/or do apt-get autoremove and apt-get clean
