[15:13] helllllooooo [15:13] hello [15:14] hi the night [15:14] hi mustafa [15:15] excuse me [15:15] how can i know whether um working on 64 or 32 ubuntu version ? [15:15] yes [15:15] one minute [15:16] tyt [15:21] back [15:22] welcome back [15:22] you can try these : on the terminal [15:22] file /sbin/init [15:22] cat /proc/version [15:22] one sentence ? [15:22] one of them [15:22] file /sbin/init [15:23] use this [15:24] sorry ana nseet kona bngeeb el terminal ezay [15:24] :) [15:24] applications > acsisories > [15:25] ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.15, stripped mustafa@mustafa-HP-Compaq-6910p:~$ ^C [15:25] 32-bit [15:26] mmmmmmmm [15:26] so i was wrong [15:26] my lab top is 64 [15:27] sure it's abig differance ha ? [15:28] ??????? [15:28] the phonix ? [15:28] still there ? [15:29] bk [15:29] sorry had a phone call [15:30] why are u wrong ? [15:30] what are the specs of ur laptop [15:30] ram , procceor [15:31] 3 g ram and i don't remember the processor [15:32] hmm [15:32] is there some code in terminal to detect whether my labtop is 64 or 32 ? [15:32] almost all of the modern proccessors have 64 bit archtetctir [15:33] the proccessor can work in 32 or 64 bit modes [15:33] the problem is the amout of ram the proccessor can use in each mode [15:33] mmmmmmm [15:33] meaning if u work in 32 bit mod you only can have maximum of 3.4 GB of ram [15:33] is thtis only the differance ? [15:35] using 64 bits the data bus band width is doubled [15:35] mmmmm [15:35] ok [15:35] did i help [15:36] it seems like i have to install another one [15:36] sure [15:36] thanks for ur time [15:36] any time ur welcome
