[17:13] have downloaded official "install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz" which contains only "libflashplayer.so"i guess i need to use terminal to replace or update the old file. so how do i do this [17:14] sorry :( [17:16] nev, sorry for what? [17:17] pasting and overloading [17:17] chrome should just play flash right? [17:18] nev, in places -> search for files -> type *.so and search in File systema and there you will get the location and replace that file with your new file. but this may break your flash. but you can try this [17:19] holstein, no [17:19] holstein: yep, usually does but after an ubuntu update the plugin is now out of date [17:19] nev: try just updating [17:19] and using the packages in the repos [17:25] ok found location of file, how do i replace it? [17:25] :-/ [17:26] nev: there should be a readme in the download [17:26] sudo cp file1 file2 [17:26] i would check it out though [17:26] holstein: no readme just .so [17:26] i cant imagine it being out of date compared to the one in the repos [17:26] at least not for very long [17:28] nev: whats the problem with flash? [17:45] halfwaay there, with sudo cp file1 file 2, just got to extract it to somewhere i can find it. cheers for the help guys, dinners ready!! === sre-su_ is now known as sre-su === jasono_ is now known as jasono === eee-bang is now known as kristian-aalborg === Axlin|AFK is now known as Axlin === Axlin is now known as Axlin|AFK === Axlin|AFK is now known as Axlin
