[06:20] sp [06:32] Hi [06:35] morning nlsthzn [06:36] Hey Mr. superfly, how are you doing? [06:36] nlsthzn: snotty thanks, my hayfever is in full force [06:36] how are you? [06:37] superfly: that sucks... I am OK, just had a nice walk to the market... official, summer is upon us here, phew... [06:38] hot already? [06:43] sunny and dusty here in the desert [06:43] 28degC @ 10:40am... [06:44] at least the humidity is low [09:32] o/ 'morning [09:35] hey [11:13] Now i know the japanese are notorious for thier crazy gameshows but thier version of total wipeout just takes the piss. [11:13] ! [15:27] *their [16:01] mirror.ac.za switching to nginx in about 2 minutes [16:02] hopeing you can help me test it when its done [16:07] Symmetria: is it done yet? [16:10] nginx? [16:17] done [16:17] can you check that everything is still working [16:17] from both the sourceforge side [16:17] and the ubuntu side [16:17] we've just switched to nginx and thrown out apache [16:17] superfly sourceforge is 100% finished and up and running ) [16:21] things seem to work [16:36] Symmetria: no faster than with apache [16:37] (if anything, a little slower, to be honest) [16:47] superfly might be a LITTLE slower browsing the pages, but will handle far more load [16:48] memory usage is also lower [17:35] hmm, from my perspective it's really easy to set up proxying compared to apache :P Took me like forever when I tried it the first time on apache, less than 20 minutes on nginx [18:05] heh nuvolari nginx is decent, its just missing certain things and the modules that provide them are broken :P [18:05] we have a heavily modified version of fancyindex now [18:32] Symmetria: ya, one thing that worries me now is that it fails to load the application I run on glassfish. Not everytime though. I have a pretty basic setup though :P just the proxy_pass configuration [18:41] nuvolari: read the first answer: http://friendfeed.com/marcuscollins/62e2d155/prayer-for-japan [18:41] ag, wrong url [18:41] http://stackoverflow.com/questions/195534/in-production-apache-mod-wsgi-or-nginx-mod-wsgi [18:41] nuvolari: ^^ that one [18:44] nuvolari: while you're not using WSGI or Python, it is something to keep in mind [19:36] nuvolari: you there? [19:38] ghostknife: biets [19:38] ek is hier [19:39] nuvolari: pong!! [19:39] superfly: will check it out thanks!
