[01:49] once i've created an AMI from a running instance is there anything else i need to do to save the data? or did they make that automatic, now. Used to have to swap out the volumes before booting. [01:50] you got it all if you did it correctly [01:51] right click, create AMI [01:51] from the aws console on amazon. [01:51] that's so much nicer, you had to do all that snapshot and making a volume yourself before. it was a pain. [01:52] or you just use RightScale [02:02] no idea what that is. i am experimenting with X11 forwarding, i wanted to create an AMI to send to someone else. [02:02] genewitch: http://rightscale.com/ [02:02] i.e. the concept of a ServerTemplate [02:03] you can 'private' share an AMI but you can't 'send' it [02:09] that is what i meant [02:09] k === zul_ is now known as zul === dendro-afk is now known as dendrobates === fword is now known as the-internet === the-internet is now known as fw0rd === dendrobates is now known as dendro-afk === dendro-afk is now known as dendrobates === dendrobates is now known as dendro-afk === dendro-afk is now known as dendrobates === dendrobates is now known as dendro-afk === niemeyer_ is now known as niemeyer === dendro-afk is now known as dendrobates === niemeyer is now known as niemeyer_lunch === niemeyer_lunch is now known as niemeyer === dendrobates is now known as dendro-afk === dendro-afk is now known as dendrobates === niemeyer is now known as niemeyer_away === niemeyer_away is now known as niemeyer === dendrobates is now known as dendro-afk
