bdmurraybryceh_: have you guys seen bug 754470?00:13
ubot4Launchpad bug 754470 in xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu Natty) (and 1 other project) "syndaemon consumes 100% CPU (affects: 40) (dups: 2) (heat: 204)" [High,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/75447000:13
RAOFbdmurray: cnd certainly has; I think he's on to it.00:14
bryceh_yeah00:22
bryceh_oh hey RAOF00:22

=== yofel_ is now known as yofel
ScottKThat or Soyuz is borked due to LP related network outages and so the status you see may be wrong.05:14

cndtjaalton, I don't see anything wrong with the 1.10.1rc2 merge15:02
cndI'm not sure what's going wrong...15:02
cndbut there were quite a few input fixes that went into the update15:04
tjaaltoncnd: yeah that was puzzling me too..15:05
cndtjaalton, I've got some other things I'm working on atm15:06
tjaaltoncnd: sre15:06
tjaalton+u15:06
cnddo you need me to take this too, or would you be able to handle it?15:06
tjaaltonjust unassign it for now15:08
cndok15:09
cndtjaalton, according to the upstream bug report, it's confirmed against upstream too15:10
tjaaltonexcept whot couldn't reproduce it15:10
tjaaltonwhich made me think it's something in ubuntu doing it15:11
cndtjaalton, yeah, but someone else could reproduce it15:11
cndso I think it's just a matter of having the right setup/devices15:11
tjaaltonhmm right, i thought he was one of the subscribers, but not15:12
cndI'll try the test case here to see if I can hit it15:12
cndI can hit it15:14
tjaaltongood :)15:14
cndbasically, you get a press, but no release at first15:14
cndthen you press and release again to get a press and a release event15:14
cndso you end up with15:14
cndpress15:14
cndpress15:14
cndrelease15:14
cndpress15:14
cndpress15:14
cndrelease15:14
cndetc.15:14
tjaaltonokay15:16
cndand I just confirmed that the previous release was working fine15:17
cndI'll try to see if I can figure it out since I've come this far :)15:18
tjaaltongreat, thanks :)15:18
tjaaltonI'll call it the day..15:18
Sarvattbryceh_: drirc attachments paid off finally https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/74599616:23
ubot4Launchpad bug 745996 in unity (Ubuntu) (and 1 other project) "All unity windows are invisible (panel, launcher, dash) (affects: 7) (dups: 1) (heat: 48)" [High,Invalid]16:23
Sarvatti'm curious if kwin needs ARB_fragment_shader disabled on 945 still16:25
Sarvattguess not because I haven't seen any bugs about it this cycle since we disabled the patch making false the default16:26
Sarvatthttp://pad.lv/72456917:15
Sarvattdarn, ubot4 doesn't know about the launchpad url shortener17:16
ScottKSarvatt: It's been working fine for me on my 945 laptop, so whatever you have is fine.18:05
ScottK(better than Maverick)18:05
bryceh_Sarvatt, yeah I'd noticed that yesterday.19:34
Sarvattsure would be nice to have an --iknowwhatimdoingdangit option to pass to ubuntu-bug so it let me file bugs with non-ubuntu packages installed :P20:47
Sarvattbryceh_: think its worth opening a compiz task for https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/761065 ?20:53
ubot4Launchpad bug 761065 in xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) (and 1 other project) "[Sandybridge] Spurious "*ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... blt ring idle" messages in dmesg when using compiz (affects: 1) (heat: 6)" [Undecided,New]20:53
Sarvattbryceh_: I love how it adds the relevant lines from dmesg in the description now btw!20:54
bryceh_Sarvatt, :-)20:56
Sarvatthrm I should try under mutter20:56
bryceh_Sarvatt, actually I think that's just because when a file is below a certain size, it's just inlined in the description rather than attached20:57
bryceh_Sarvatt, however might be a neat feature to grep for "*ERROR*" from dmesg and insert that separately20:57
* bryceh_ todo's20:57
Sarvattargh why did it .gz the logs that time21:01
Sarvattguessing the upstreamer wont work on it with that? :P21:01
SarvattScottK: awesome, thanks for the heads up (and sorry to ping you to say thanks) :)21:02
bryceh_Sarvatt, send_upstream.cgi doesn't actually do anything with the logs21:07
bryceh_Sarvatt, the upstreamer tool I'm still in progress on will download the logs and uncompress them, but I'm a ways from having that ready for use21:07
bryceh_what would you guys think about having a UDS session to browse through the xserver wishlist bugs?  I think some of them might be resolved, others we may be able to wontfix, the rest might be useful to share knowledge about.  Might even be one or two we could do something about.22:55
bryceh_there's currently about 20 or so xserver wishlist bugs; might be challenging to get through them all in a session but if we're speedy we could do it.22:55
bryceh_tjaalton, git push your xorg-server tree23:54
