[21:56] :) [21:58] might just start geling the cats hair into place, sounds cheaper in the short run [22:00] ha ha :) [22:00] or quit playing games. [22:01] aw, turns out I might grab a HEPA filter so [22:04] oh ya, must look into booking a place for staying in Dublin for the release party, where might we be close to? not strayin too far from chungs I assume?? [22:04] no idea really [22:05] I'll be trekking up from athy [22:05] won't be staying late either as I've work at 7am next day [22:05] guys at the meeting will be better able to advise [22:06] ugh, that sux, would it not suit tohave sugested Friday? [22:06] ya ok, I'll ask then [22:07] that weekend I'll be working Fri Sat and Sun starting at 7am each day and not finishing till 7pm so Thurs is the best of a bad lot. [22:08] oh man, thats harsh! disadvantages of getting more money than the dole! [22:08] i need weed [22:09] bad place to be looking [22:09] lol [22:09] infoturtle with 2 kids I'm happy to do it :) [22:10] im not lookin [22:10] hi syngindub [22:10] airurando it's all ahead of me, for now I'll enjoy the freedom of being able to consider 10 x noodles a weekly shop [22:11] infoturtle that is exactly the right attitude [22:15] hu airurando [22:15] hi [22:17] syngindub: read earlier you ain't happy with unity [22:18] can't say I blame you [22:18] but remember Ubuntu is for the masses [22:19] yeah i commented yesterday on this [22:19] this masses don't interest me :) [22:19] the [22:19] think it's the same as gnome vs kde vs xfce, have which ever one you like installed and use it, I love gnome but have friends who love xfce [22:19] * airurando read the irc logs at work today [22:20] syngindub fair point (speaking as a member of the masses) :) [22:21] but the desktop environment can always be changed [22:21] decided to run mint for the time being until i decide what i'll do [22:21] yeah, I saw that [22:21] It's funny really. [22:21] in my house [22:22] my daughter loves unity [22:22] I'm not gone on it [22:22] i'd say it will appeal to a lot of people alright [22:22] think it suits netbooks down to the ground but for desktops not really [22:22] not at all [22:22] daughter is 9 yr old [22:22] * infoturtle expresses his view [22:23] infoturtle: I concur [22:23] i have my daughter very comfotable using linux and windows L) [22:24] syngindub: thats essential [22:24] :) [22:24] trying to steer her clear of the latter though :) [22:24] indeed [22:25] windows has it's features, still use it everyday [22:25] yeah, well i support a windows env [22:28] it ain't fun [22:29] syngindub: standard mint or mint [22:29] sorry mind debian [22:29] oh dear [22:29] *mint [22:31] standard mint. might check out that the mint debian though [22:31] I came from mint to ubuntu [22:32] liked the community around ubuntu [22:32] and the idea behind it [22:32] i've been OS hopping for about 10 years but nearly always go back to ubuntu alright. [22:33] just not sure if i'll head in that direction when 11.04 is launched [22:34] yeah it's a real concern [22:35] I had kubuntu first and hated the look of it, stoped using it after a week, came back one yeaar later when I left work and loved it [22:35] but for me the driving principal behind ubuntu still excites me. [22:35] *principle [22:39] I love that it actually educates its users as they use (I may have spelled some things wrong there) [22:41] how so? [22:41] * infoturtle gets drunker as time goes on [22:41] off to play me some xbox [22:41] cya guys later!! [22:41] enjoy
