wizonesolutionsAnyone know where I can get Lubuntu 10.04? It seems to be a 21KB file everywhere I'm downloading it, and the download on its release page has changed to 10.10 :/23:25
wizonesolutionsNeed 10.04 cuz I will want to put Virtualmin on the box23:25
szczurhttp://people.ubuntu.com/~gilir/lubuntu-10.04.iso23:31
wizonesolutionsMaybe found it on MegaUpload, yuck. Stand by.23:31
wizonesolutionsNo, that's a torrent file or something.23:31
wizonesolutions:(23:31
MrChrisDruifWhat is?23:31
wizonesolutions[15:31] <szczur> http://people.ubuntu.com/~gilir/lubuntu-10.04.iso23:31
wizonesolutions[15:31] <wizonesolutions> Maybe found it on MegaUpload, yuck. Stand by.23:31
wizonesolutions[15:31] * MrChrisDruif (~chris@unaffiliated/chrisdruif) has joined #lubuntu23:31
wizonesolutions[15:31] <wizonesolutions> No, that's a torrent file or something.23:31
wizonesolutionswas asking where 10.04 is23:31
MrChrisDruifIsn't that the direct link?23:31
szczuri gave you the link to iso23:31
wizonesolutionsIt is, but it gives you a 20k file or something23:31
wizonesolutionsI've tried it several times23:32
wizonesolutionsI know it should be there...but it's not. There are lots of comments on the site about it23:32
MrChrisDruif20k?23:32
MrChrisDruifWith me it wants to download the iso directly :-/23:32
szczurit seems to be a torrent file23:32
szczuruse transmission to download the iso with it23:33
MrChrisDruifhttp://people.ubuntu.com/~gilir/lubuntu-10.04.iso.torrent <= this is the torrent link/file23:33
szczurMrChrisDruif, link given by me seems to be the same23:33
szczurdunno why23:33
szczur:)23:33
MrChrisDruifAhh...23:34
MrChrisDruifI see the problem23:34
MrChrisDruifThat link is directing to something no longer on the site :)23:34
wizonesolutionsYeah, I'm not a torrent user, so was just trying to grab it quickly the way I was used to. I'm checking the checksum of the MU file I downloaded now23:35
MrChrisDruif10.04 isn't directly on the page of gilir any more, as you've got a file limit of 1GB23:35
MrChrisDruifYou can request more space, but gilir apparently didn't....Lubuntu isn't an official derivative of Ubuntu yet, so his request will probably be denied anyway :)23:36
MrChrisDruifwizonesolutions: Are you on ubuntu?23:37
wizonesolutionsMrChrisDruif: Nah, downloading it from Windows. The HD that had Ubuntu (well, Xubuntu) on it was going, so I got a new one and decided to clean-install instead of cloning...since I'd be cloning bad blocks anyway.23:39
wizonesolutionsXubuntu was sometimes a little sluggish on the machine cuz I was running Apache also, so someone suggested Lubuntu to me as an even lighter alternative23:40
wizonesolutionsAll I do with it is run it headless but NX in to have a bit of an interface, easily open multiple terminal windows, use GVim, etc. anyway23:40
MrChrisDruifAlright, a lightweight torrent downloader is utorrent23:40
wizonesolutionsYeah the ISO issue might be resolved, just waiting for this program to finish calculating checksum23:40
MrChrisDruifAlright23:41
wizonesolutionsouch, fail. won't use that one...23:42
MrChrisDruifAlright...23:43
MrChrisDruifYou checksummed that 20k file?23:43
wizonesolutionsno, the one from megaupload23:43
wizonesolutionsdefinitely not a "trusted source" it didn't match any of the md5sum.txt ones23:43
MrChrisDruifI don't know which one that is?23:43
wizonesolutionsI'll check out utorrent23:43
wizonesolutionsIt's in the comments somewhere23:43
wizonesolutionshttp://lubuntu.net/blog/lubuntu-1004-now-available-download23:44
MrChrisDruifhttp://phillw.net/lubuntu-10.04.iso23:45
MrChrisDruifThat is also a direct link, I don't know if that server is still running, phillw has had some troubles lately23:47
MrChrisDruifAhh, it still works :)23:48
MrChrisDruifJust checked23:48
wizonesolutionsWell, I just got uTorrent in so I must use it at least once before uninstalling, hehe23:49
MrChrisDruif:P23:49
wizonesolutionsHow does download speed work on this thing? Is it like distributed or something? Seems to be increasing slowly. Interesting.23:50
wizonesolutionsAnyway, stepping out for a while. MrChrisDruif I appreciate the help :)23:51
wizonesolutionsszczur as well, thanks23:51
MrChrisDruifwizonesolutions: It's dependent on upload speed of people having the file23:51
MrChrisDruifLubuntu-10.04.iso torrent right?23:52
MrChrisDruifIt doesn't seem to connect...at least not to me wizonesolutions23:52
