micahgfor DEP-5, how does one get the partial license paragraph04:19
softcoderhello?06:46
softcoderanyone here able to discussion includion of something in natty?06:46
micahgsoftcoder: just ask, if it's an update you have a chance, otherwise highly unlikely06:46
softcoderok.. for the longest time the RTS game Glest i think was in06:47
softcoderwe forked years ago and just released 3.5.0 of megaglest06:47
softcoderits the continuation of glest06:47
softcoderits developed in ubuntu06:47
softcoderand we have tester on 11.x06:47
softcoderthought i would try to get it in06:47
softcoderthe arch guys included in theirs recently06:48
micahgsoftcoder: so, we still have glest from Debian06:48
softcoderits too old and does have near what megaglest has06:48
softcodermost distros are ptiching glest for mega06:48
softcoderglest stopped being worked on in 200506:49
softcoderme and another dev picked up for the last 2 years and added tons of fun06:49
softcodermultiplayer and lots of new data06:49
softcoderand gpl3.. data is creative command 3 share alike06:50
softcodertotally open source06:50
softcodersee megaglest,org06:50
micahgwell, the upstream page seems to be megaglest now, it's a little late for such a change in natty, you can try asking for a freeze exception, then you need someone to package it.  I would suggest working with the Debian games team to get it updated in Debian, then we'll sync it to oneiric and you can request a backport to natty06:50
softcoderok so debian is the place to go right?06:50
micahgsoftcoder: yeah, it's probably the least amount of work for everyone06:51
softcoderwhats their channel?06:51
micahgand all of Debian's derivatives benefit as well06:51
micahgsoftcoder: #debian-games on oftc06:51
softcoderthx06:51

micahgcould I get a quick dep5 review: http://paste.ubuntu.com/597516/17:39
BlackZmicahg: from my review: consider adding the "Upstream-Contact" tag (this isn't mandatory, though); the symbol "+" could be used instead of "or later" and the "Upstream-name" tag should contain the name of the package (e.g: foo-bar)18:08
micahgBlackZ: what do you mean upstream-contact18:09
BlackZmicahg: from http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep5/: "The preferred address(es) to reach the upstream project. [...]"18:09
micahgBlackZ: from that page, it shows the project name, not package name for upstream name18:10
BlackZmicahg: yeah sorry, I meant that18:11
