The question is related to the parameter nomodeset: since I upgraded to 11.04, I'm trying to boot the new kernel 2.6.28, but I get a screen completely screwed after grub. I tried with a USB pendrive with 11.04 and I only get a black screen. I found out the issue might be related to nomodeset parameter. By setting it I can boot both the USB pendrive (already used it for Ubuntu 10.10

What does "SAUCE" mean in commit-logs? 2. Is there a way to get all patches that are applied on top of the official kernel? 'git log --grep=UBUNTU' is a history of those patches, not the patches themselves.

The same happens when I try to use USB pendrive with fresh installation of 10.04. Is there anyone able to help figure out this situation?
