[16:42] Kyle__: it does seems pretty weird. Have you checked the network configuration you gabe to UEC? [16:48] obino: It's abouslyte fine until I launch images. I'm affraid I screwed something up tryign to grant network permissions. Is there a way to clear them all out? === dendro-afk is now known as dendrobates === godber_ is now known as godber [17:00] Kyle__: please, check the VNET* values you gave to Eucalyptus. From your symptoms it looks like you are in MANGED* mode and that you instructed EUcalyptus to give to the instances a private networks in conflict with your real network [17:00] when an instance starts, you then may loose access to some machines [17:07] obino: Err. So I need one IP range for the head node, one for the worker nodes, and a third for the virtual machines? [17:53] have you read our network documentation? there are some examples [17:54] UEC uses MANAGED-NOVLAN by default [18:05] obino: I should go re-read it. Confusing thing is this worked ok for linux clients. [18:05] s/clients/vms/ === koolhead11 is now known as koolhead11|afk [18:09] Kyle__: if you can show your ip addr show, route -n and eucalyptus configuration I may be able to help [18:09] I may be leaving soon though [18:10] you can send a PM on the eucalyptus forum if you want [18:10] id is graziano [18:15] OK. Thanks. === daker is now known as daker_ === dendrobates is now known as dendro-afk [20:11] smoser: hi! [20:11] hi [20:12] smoser: are there are plans to release an updated version of lucid AMI soon? [20:13] mathiaz, its just something that has not had resources devoted to it. [20:13] * mathiaz nods [20:13] we should be moving towards getting those updates done in cycle with kernel releases for a stable release. [20:14] but it is just not somethign that has gotten cycles. [20:19] In general, is it a mistake to for the head-node to have it's public ip address in the same range as the external ip addresses given to virtual machines? === dendro-afk is now known as dendrobates === dendrobates is now known as dendro-afk
