[00:13] hiya [00:45] How's ChinnoDog doing? [00:52] ChinnoDog is doing fine [00:52] Eating leftover spagetti pizza [00:52] And watching cats in the bedroom act like cats [00:56] * teddy-dbear is watching teddy bears be teddy bears :-D [00:58] spagetti pizza? [00:59] Yes. Stuffed spagetti pizza. With meatballs. Its good stuff. [02:31] No one is messing around with ubuntu tonight ? [10:19] Morning. [10:28] morning JonathanD [10:29] morning JonathanD [11:22] hi rmg51 and teddy-dbear [11:23] were you out running in the rain? [11:23] teddy-dbear: got to the end of the block, was soaked, came back and did situps instead. [11:24] I don't like to get wet [11:24] it's very rainy. [11:24] if I get wet I can't hug anyone [11:24] it was only drizzling when I went out. [11:25] I would be like a sponge :-( [11:25] heh :) [11:25] we'll still give you hugs. in a raincoat. [11:27] I'm the one that needs the rain coat [14:48] What do yinz think about Unity? [14:50] I had to adjust a few things (see most recent post on http://ahotw.com/), but otherwise I'm getting used to it [14:50] Title: Andrews Home On The Web (at ahotw.com) [14:50] andrew: thanks (: [14:51] andrew: I use synergy as well [14:55] it's growing on me [14:55] my work computer uses unity but my home one uses gnome 3 from the ppa [14:56] both have really good points about them and things that could be improved [14:56] ssweeny: what do you think of GNOME3? [15:02] erstazi, it's pretty sweet, but i don't really care for the default gtk theme [15:02] i LOVE the dynamic workspaces [15:31] I've been getting used to unity, after some tweaking [15:32] pretty much the same issues and same tweaks as andrew for me [15:35] yeah, I don't mind it. Just I kept hearing about Synergy being an issue and I use super a lot. I figured they were fixable but I probably won't upgrade my laptop for a month or so. [16:17] "fixable" [16:17] really we are working around it, would be much better if you could adjust unity [16:17] move the bar to a different part of the screen, etc [16:40] ssweeny: jslinux has a bogomips of 20.21 in my browser, ~= 486DX/40. Is this an emulation of an x86 CPU or is it emulated at a higher level? [16:41] ChinnoDog, as far as i can tell it's an x86 CPU emulator [16:42] yeah if you check the tech notes link it says what exactly is being emulated [16:46] That is pretty neat [16:46] yeah [16:47] I bet it would be faster if the GNU components were rewritten in javascript but that could take forever [16:47] Because then you would need a C to Javascript compiler
