=== duanedes1gn is now known as duanedeisgn [01:18] hey UndiFineD , you here? [01:18] yes [01:19] what is this page for - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/menu ? [01:19] I was playing a bit [01:19] I was thinking of some sotrt of menu for fast browsing [01:20] a year or two ago the index pages we rewritten using a "signpost" approach [01:21] is the main page not adequate? [01:21] hmmm, to me it does not seem the easiest way to get to documents [01:21] and the search does not seem to be working at all [01:22] we use a topic based approach for cataloging the documentation rather than a table of contents or index approach [01:22] we can certainly expand the main page or its immediate subpages if material is missing [01:22] yeah I noticed :) very gnomy [01:22] it's just better to not maintain more than one indexing area [01:23] hehe yeah, i know [01:23] you can removed it if you wish [01:23] ok, i'll do that [01:24] if there is more material that you think shoiuld be more easily accessible, please bring it up on the mailing list [01:25] ok I will, I tend to stick the team to UDS plans too, meaning say what is need but as short as possible, and we should avoid redundancy [01:26] I listened in on most of the doc sessions [01:26] sounds good man [01:30] man there is sooo much old material on the wiki :( [01:31] I know, which is hy I thought lamp would be a good starting point [01:31] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BeginnersTeam/Meetings/WikiFG/20110517 [01:31] you like working on server documentaiton? [01:32] I know most of it [01:33] I had to design a full stack of anti spam for a mailserver and when employed I am mostly a php programmer [01:35] oh and unity may not be flawless, but it is addictive [01:36] for fun I launched gnome-panel in unity, but I could not go back [01:38] i havent played around too much in unity [01:38] i need to take some time to learn more features to get better use out of it [01:38] well I waited to install it after UDS, so I am using it now for almost a week [01:39] i like unity. i've been fortunate enough to have a laptop that supports it well [01:39] i would like gnome shell more if it didn't have so much padding in the theme and if it had better fonts. [01:39] only my sound is broken [01:40] but that may be a kernel issue [01:40] the fonts on g-s are buggy. it isn't a rendering issue like it used to be - cantarel (sp?) is just a buggy font at this point. [01:40] or pulse [02:23] cantarell hasn't been packaged for deb/ubuntu [04:00] hey jbicha === UndiFineD is now known as hajour1 === hajour1 is now known as UndiFineD === JasonO is now known as Rapture
