[00:30] You don't want to remove that === matt_ is now known as Guest86891 [00:30] ime I try to connect to a wifi network [00:31] KWallet is a password manager that keeps passwords[such as your WPA2 password] in a tightly encrypted folder. That way nobody can see it [00:32] have you created the password for it yet? If so, whenever it comes up, type in the password you made for it, and then it'll automatically connect to your network for you. its quite nifty actually [00:33] Linkmaster: kind of stupid I dont want to keep typing in the password for the wifif [00:33] or the wallet. [00:33] you'd only need to do it on reboot [00:33] and once you create it, you never have to type in the password for the wifi [00:34] pastyhermit: and you have the option to not asking again for password [00:34] * Linkmaster actually didn't know about that, he thought it was for security purposes [00:34] :P [00:34] lcb: alright [00:34] thanks [00:35] It should probably default to not needlessly harrasing the user, I presume the data is encrypted? Not sure, don't even know what it does :P [00:44] downloads files pretty fast without users intervention (+/-) [00:44] so similar to a download accelator? If I explicitly mount /dev/mapper/name -> /dir , I gain access to the partition. If I boot up with the disk plugged in I gain access to it. *but* if I click on the partition in dolphin *errors* and it doesn't mount... what's up? [18:32] I'm not abosutely sure here, but this is just my best guess. [18:32] When you mount it via the shell, you're only mapping it into the system, not trying to actually *use* it. [18:32] So there's no error since all you're doing is saying it's there. [18:32] When Dolphin tries to do it, it mounts it properly, then tries to read the files. Obviously this fails since you haven't given it an encryption key. [18:33] Hello [18:33] ^^ more likly is taht udev cannot handel mounting encrpyted drives... vbgunz, have you tried adding an entry for it to /etc/fstab ? It's not mounted and when I go to mount it explicitly, it mounts without an issue and I can then browse it in dolphin [18:34] vbgunz: Talk to James147, he knows more than me ^w^' [18:34] Huh? I've google my butt off on this one and am really stumped.
