[16:46] Oops. Sorry about that. [16:46] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuWeeklyNewsletter/SectionGuidelines#Upcoming Meetings and Events was the link I meant to post [16:47] What's loos? [16:47] nhandler go ahead? [16:47] NRWlion: See that link 3 lines up ;) [16:47] nhandler; The meeting isn't on the Fridge? [16:48] What meeting MrChrisDruif ? [16:48] nhandler: got that link [16:48] Ow...of the doc...never mind [16:49] nhandler sorry but i dont get your point [16:49] NRWlion: The Upcoming Meetings and Events section could use some help for this week's UWN [16:51] nhandler: copy that ... when's the deadline for release? [16:51] NRWlion: I'm hoping to release monday (or early tuesday at the latest) [16:51] so monday may30th? [16:53] NRWlion; UWN = Ubuntu Weekly News [16:53] So yeah, this monday ;) [16:54] nhandler: do i have another source then fridge.ubuntu.com? [16:54] MrChrisDruif: sorry didnt sleep last night due to the circumstances you might know from ##sii-general [16:54] so have mercy [16:55] Nope, I do not [16:55] And I didn't mean it offending or anything [16:55] I was just explaining why it is this monday [16:56] NRWlion: the news team handles two resources, fridge.ubuntu.com and the Ubuntu Weekly News [16:56] right now nhandler is working on UWN: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuWeeklyNewsletter [16:57] pleia2: i only asked about the sources where i can get notes about the meetings? [16:57] i am tasked to collect the Upcoming Events [16:58] ah, I see, http://fridge.ubuntu.com/event no longer works [16:59] so where do i get the informations? launchpad? or what ;) ? [16:59] probably want http://ubuntu-news.org/calendars/ and click on "agenda" tab in the calendar [16:59] for Ubuntu Fridge Calendar [16:59] nhandler: right? [17:00] * pleia2 needs to head out, is away from home visiting her sister this weekend :) [17:02] pleia2: its sunday afternoon at my place ... so i will start my working week in less stance 18 hrs [17:02] :( [17:02] nhandler ... need you :D [17:02] NRWlion: we're all volunteers here, if you can't help out this week you can help out next week, no worries :) [17:03] NRWlion: Yeah, ubuntu-news.org/calendars and pull from the Fridge calendar and the classroom calendar [17:04] nhandler: copy that ... found the page [17:04] i am on it [17:04] :) [17:04] but i have to work in less than an hr [17:05] and due to the fact that i havent slept the whole weekend i am not sure whether i could get it done today [17:05] but i think definitely by tomorrow (Monday) evening [17:05] so its your call... shall i stay on the job? [17:06] just do what you cant [17:06] err, can [17:06] if you don't finish someone else will :) [17:07] willco [17:22] another thing: the times given in the calenders are utc time, right? [17:22] NRWlion: Yes [17:23] nhandler: so i wont be able to attend them because 22 hrs utc means 12am at my TZ [17:23] and i have to get up at 5 am again so i will not be available [17:23] :D [17:24] NRWlion; You can import them to google [17:24] It'll convert to your time [17:24] MrChrisDruif: already knew that [17:24] but once again my brain isnt thinking straight today :D [17:42] nhandler: i have copied all information i could find into a doc on my local machine so i am able to edit them [17:42] i will put them straight into wiki syntax and only c/p them after my duty tonight, ok? [17:59] g2g on duty now [17:59] cu laters [21:27] howdy everybody [21:30] nhandler: ping [22:19] * nhandler really wishes people would not close their IRC client's when they leave [22:58] nhandler: not everyone has a choice [23:06] Pendulum: True. Although it isn't that hard now to either keep it open yourself or run an irc client on someone else's remote server [23:09] personally I don't want my stuff on someone else's server and I don't have the skills to do it myself. Sometimes I have to turn off my machine (it's a laptop so if I want to bring it anywhere...) [23:09] I do attempt to leave on as much as possible, but it doesn't mean I can do it all the time [23:11] * Pendulum shrugs [23:11] I also get the sense that NRWlion might possibly be newish to IRC [23:18] Pendulum: I agree. And I do understand that not everyone can stay online 24/7. It just makes things a lot easier and reduces IRC-tag a bit ;) [23:19] definitely :)
