Unfortunately the special characters are replaced with weird characters if the format isn't UTF-8, but instead eg. ISO-8859, which most of my subtitle files are in. I'n on Mythbuntu 11.04 x86_64 w/ Mythtv 0.24.

[19:48] <sabhain> gregL .. thanks.  I have recently upgraded from 8.04 to 10.04 .. and I'm getting weird behavior in videos.  I'm not using storage groups, since I have isos .. but I did do a storage group scan before I figured that out.
[19:49] <sabhain> now I'm getting multiple listings of the same movie, but each listing actually plays a different file.  Metadata scanning is correct about 60% of the time ..
[19:49] <sabhain> at the moment, I have to use it in "file browser mode" .. because I don't really know what will play otherwise.
