=== _Hyper__ is now known as _Hyper_ [07:44] I know you/we/Xubuntu is switching to leafpad and saw this come across my email: http://www.mail-archive.com/lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net/msg04262.html | Title: [Lubuntu-desktop] Leafpad 0.8.18.1 packaged -- testing wanted [12:54] same here: [12:55] leaving now and will be off until sunday evening [12:55] have a nice weekend everybody === Soupermanito is now known as GridCube [19:22] micahg: seems ff doesn't like scrollbars without arrows/steppers, especially horizontal ones break, anything we/you can do about that? [19:23] ochosi: firefox uses xul scrollbars ATM [19:26] GridCube , charlie-tca: Looks like we have both CDs today (Still oversized by far) [19:26] today i can't test, sorry [19:27] astraljava: Forgot to ping you too ^^ [19:27] micahg: so the answer is "no"? [19:28] wow, live CD is finally back to what it was before [19:28] ochosi: hmm, not sure I understand the question, why would you have a scrollbar w/out arrows [19:29] micahg: why not? it's a design question. i mean seriously: how often do you scroll by clicking the arrows? [19:29] semi often? [19:29] rly? hm. i *never* use them [19:30] anyway, there are a lot of themes now that don't use the arrows [19:30] and ff breaks with all of them [19:30] so that's an annoying problem [19:30] i scroll by clicking on the arrows :/ [19:31] my mouse's wheel doesnt work, and its easier that way most of the time [19:32] grabing the scroll bar and moving it by hand inst really a good idea on very long webpages or pdf's, i do use lots of pdfs [19:33] on pdfs i usually use the keyboard [19:33] true, that too [19:34] ochosi: does mozilla 635018 sound related? [19:34] Mozilla bug 635018 in Widget: Gtk "Scrollbar doesn't fully respond to dynamic theme changes" [Normal,New: ] http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=635018 [19:36] micahg: not really, i'll show you my problem/s screenshot-wise if you like [19:37] ochosi: hmm, well, I'm kinda busy ATM, can we do this later (or send me an email) [19:37] micahg: sure, np. we can talk tomorrow or another day, no rush [19:38] k, thanks [19:38] well, thank you ;) [19:39] GridCube: that's how the scrollbar looks now: 159669 [19:39] meh [19:39] http://imagebin.org/159669 [19:40] yes, i've seen them, they do look pretty :) [19:40] :P but then again i change my theme back to albatross [19:40] XD sorry [19:40] its really too shiny [19:40] my problem is: i've tried a lot of arrow-styles, but none of them fit the scrollbar-style imo [19:40] albatross has pretty bright parts as well [19:40] i'll probably dim it a bit more [19:41] mmm whay about something near the color of the back part... let me do some silly mockup [19:41] sure, go ahead [19:44] http://imagebin.org/159670 [19:45] :P as i said, a silly idea [19:47] you mean practically invisible scrollbar-arrows? [19:47] or is that white box intentional [19:49] not intentional, i wanted it to be all the same color of the arrow and the arrow blank but my editor choosed to fill the box whit white XD [19:50] you mean kinda inverse arrows? [19:51] i mean, almost invisible, so they wont bother the view, but actually be there? [19:51] not sure it's possible tbh [19:51] the options with arrows in murrine are really anything else than endless [19:51] two basic styles, the one that albatross uses and the one that greybird uses [19:51] and you can only scale the ones albatross uses [19:51] (the empty arrows) [19:51] :( [19:51] and that's about it [19:52] but you cant choose its color? [19:52] not independantly of the scrollbar-colors i think (iirc) [19:52] the shape doesn't really matter, the idea is them to be the same or almost the same as the background of the scrolling [19:54] ^color [19:54] mhm [19:54] i'll see what i can do [19:54] but i'm a bit pessimistic [19:55] g2g [19:55] :D [19:55] bbl [19:55] thanks [19:55] see you === Soupermanito is now known as GridCube [22:15] Unit193: Yeah. I can't do testing for several days at this time. My son came over for a visit. I'll get on it on Sunday evening. Besides, it's Midsummer in Finland. Nobody does anything now. :D [22:16] Unit193: A graver matter is that I'll be moving to another city soon. Starting from Thursday next week, I'll not be in my own apartment for an indefinite amount of time. I expect to be able to return to some sort of testing later in July, or hopefully the latest in early August. [22:25] astraljava: that's fine, it's whenever you can [22:25] There are people on the computer for testing all the time :( [22:26] I'm not sure how well this one could take it too... [22:26] charlie-tca: I don't know if I'll be able to make the meeting next week [22:28] Live didn't like me [22:34] How well do you think a P4 2.8GHz, 2G, and 8xx Video could handle VBox?
