[02:28] hello folks [02:29] Cheri703: Howdy [02:29] howzit [02:33] Cheri703: http://www.lolbrary.com/new/2647/computer-engineer-barbie-is-for-real/ [02:33] hehe [02:45] I'm a barbie girl... [07:40] Oh wow... [07:40] I blame you for this canthus13 http://www.lolbrary.com/new/2630/karma-police/ [12:18] http://www.lolbrary.com/random/5002/-error-building-not-found/ [15:57] BiosElement: eh? I didn't crash it. [15:58] BiosElement: ...or are you blaming me for wasting several hours of your life browsing that site? [16:01] when blaming, it helps to be specific [17:16] Anyone ever buy a padded carrying case for transporting hard drives? [17:16] I just noticed amazon had some on sale, seem pretty awesome [17:17] I want to do backups to disk cause they're cheap, but moving them offsite frequently, I want something to keep them safe during transport [17:19] thafreak: I was in a padded room once.... [19:14] canthus13: For the wasting several hours of my life [19:15] And only once? [19:16] BiosElement: :D [19:16] Unit193: I never left. [19:16] Ah! [21:14] thafreak: link, please? [21:14] these are for bare drives, or for drives encased in external assemblies? [22:59] Is there an easy way to only allow access to certain sites? [23:00] Sure. whitelests. [23:00] Doesn't work *THAT* well, but it works. [23:00] I know that part, just hosts didn't seem to work for me [23:37] Hosts isn't designed to be a whitelist. You could use OpenDNS to manage sites... As long as DNS is locked down and the user can't change it, they'd be stuck with whatever you set up for them. and OpenDNS is free for home use. [23:38] (basically, just make sure that the user isn't in umm... the netdev group, I think.) [23:42] opendns is awesome [23:50] It's ok for most stuff. [23:50] * canthus13 uses it for the main machines, runs google DNS on his and his wife's PCs. [23:50] Keeps the kids off the worst sites. :) [23:51] yeah [23:51] I set it up on clients networks sometimes
