ftahm.. it's quiet everywhere, i wonder if there's a sprint or something this week10:36
ejat:)10:40
micahgfta: platform rally10:45
ftamicahg, oh, ok.10:52
ftai wonder if it's too early to drop all references to chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree10:52
micahgfta: sure, lucid had the transitional package already10:55
ftais 1y enough?10:56
micahgfta: you just need to worry about upgrade paths and the package was only needed for lucid itself since the nonfree was made transitional during the lucid cycle IIRC10:56
ftahm, chromium is still a virtual package in -bsu / maverick11:08
micahgfta: right, we goofed on that one :(11:11
micahgumm, actually, no it's not, just in lucid11:12
ftai checked, it's there11:12
micahgI don't see it in the maverick source version11:13
micahg!info chromium maverick11:13

micahgugh11:15
micahgsilly virtual package11:15
micahgfta: did you want to take over the binary as transitional to chromium-browser?11:15
ftawell, i just wanted to prevent the browser bugs from ending in the game bts11:17
micahgfta: I think that should be fine, the intent was to allow chromium to take over11:20
micahgfta: the binary has no rdepends in maverick, so I think the lucid transitional package counts as its final stand11:21
ftais a provides enough?11:26
micahgfta: hmm, Debian switched the main binary to chromium11:31
micahgfta: depends on your goal, provides is enough if other apps depend on it, but it might not show up in searches properly11:32

chrisccoulsonhi m_conley14:14
chrisccoulsonhow are you?14:14
m_conleychrisccoulson: things are good!  I'm about to record a screencast demo-ing my read-only EDS integration.14:14
m_conleychrisccoulson: and how are you?14:14
chrisccoulsonm_conley, i'm good thanks14:16
chrisccoulsonm_conley, http://askubuntu.com/questions/50931/how-do-i-install-the-latest-stable-version-of-thunderbird/ ;)14:16
m_conleychrisccoulson: yeah! :)  Will this bundle Unity and Messaging extensions too?14:18
chrisccoulsonm_conley, only for oneiric (which has 5.0 already)14:19
m_conleychrisccoulson: fantastic! :)14:19
chrisccoulsoni'm still trying to figure out the dbusmenu bug atm though14:19
micahgchrisccoulson: is there anything I can do to help debug bug 779005, I have it happening again15:13
ubot2Launchpad bug 779005 in wxwidgets2.8 "package wx2.8-headers (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: no se puede instalar una nueva versiĆ³n de `/usr/include/wx-2.8/wx/afterstd.h': No existe el fichero o el directorio" [Undecided,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/77900515:13
micahgugh, bug 77990515:13
ubot2Launchpad bug 779905 in firefox "when sessionmanager restors a session with more than one winow, only the first window gets a global menu" [Undecided,Invalid] https://launchpad.net/bugs/77990515:13
chrisccoulsonmicahg, is there a reliable way to trigger it?15:14
chrisccoulsonm_conley, i think i've figured out the indicator bug \o/15:15
chrisccoulson(just testing a patch now)15:15
chrisccoulsonthat will unblock the messaging menu stuff landing ;)15:15
m_conleychrisccoulson: nice! :D15:15
micahgchrisccoulson: not that I know of, is there something I can run to ask why it's showing the internal menu?15:15
chrisccoulsonmicahg, there's only 2 ways the internal menu will show15:16
chrisccoulsonif the menu fails to register with the panel service (which would be a unity bug)15:16
chrisccoulsonor if my extension doesn't get notified of a window open, although i'm not sure if that's even possible15:16
chrisccoulsonand it only happens on start?15:16
micahgchrisccoulson: yeah, I think so15:18
micahgmaybe on resume, the window is spawned and doesn't notify the extension (if that makes any sense)15:19
chrisccoulsonwell, we subsribe to those notifications right away, and then check for existing windows15:19
chrisccoulsonthe only thing i can suggest is to rebuild it with some printf's in to try and work out what is going on15:19
chrisccoulsonbut i don't really have time to look at that atm, thunderbird is a higher priority than firefox for me15:20
pandotehello17:19
pandotelink to install firefox 5 in ubuntu 10.10??17:19
micahgpandote: see /topic17:19
pandotethx17:20
chrisccoulsonm_conley, are you familiar with tags in bzr?17:44
m_conleychrisccoulson: no, sorry.  :/17:45
chrisccoulsonm_conley, ah. i use it when doing release milestones17:45
chrisccoulsoneg, "bzr tag 0.6" to tag a commit as the 0.6 release :)17:45
m_conleychrisccoulson: ah, cool, similar to git.  That's handy.  Will do for the extensions.  Thanks! :)17:46
chrisccoulsonm_conley, http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~chrisccoulson/dbusmenu/lp799878/revision/315 fixes tbird btw \o/17:46
chrisccoulsonso i shall get these landed today17:46
m_conleywoo!17:46
chrisccoulsonm_conley, you'll likely get some more merge proposals tomorrow ;)17:52
m_conleychrisccoulson: yay!  With what?17:52
m_conleyyep, thanks all - great work on TB5!17:53
chrisccoulsonm_conley, bug 73348817:53
ubot2Launchpad bug 733488 in messagingmenu-extension "Users want to be able to select which folders receive indications" [Medium,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/73348817:53
m_conleycripes, wrong channel17:53
chrisccoulsonmy indicator is always blue now, because i get like, 10 mails a minute ;)17:53
m_conleychrisccoulson: hey - do you have a second to try my EDS add-on?17:54
micahgmine is blue because it's broke :)17:54
chrisccoulsonm_conley, congrats on 5.0 btw ;)17:54
m_conleychrisccoulson: (if you have any Evolution contacts)17:54
m_conleychrisccoulson: thanks! :)17:54
chrisccoulsonyeah, sure. can i get the messaging menu stuff uploaded first though? :)17:55
m_conleychrisccoulson: sure, go ahead.  Let me know when you're ready to give it a shot.17:55

ftamicahg, asac: does arm support cups?21:04
=== m_conley is now known as m_conley_away
BUGabundobRoas22:03
micahgfta: I haven't personally tried it, but it does build for it, so I would think so22:24
ftawell, it's causing the arm ftbfs, like missing symbols in libcups, so i disabled it on arm22:25
micahgorly? :(22:26
ftabug 803107 btw22:28
ubot2Launchpad bug 803107 in chromium-browser "12.0.742.91 -> 12.0.742.112" [High,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/80310722:28
ftamicahg, i hope it builds on arm this time. i still can't test22:35
micahgfta: hmm, well, if it fixes it, I'll try a rebuild w/cups on, according to that commit you added in the changelog, it should work with cups22:41
ftamicahg, the commit doesn't say it's fixing arm. i used "presumably" as the missing symbols are now wrapped into the cups ifdef, reason for which i disabled cups on arm22:44
micahgfta: was this from the arm buildlog on the last chromium upload?22:50
ftamicahg, .91 ftbfsed, from that log, i checked trunk and found a relevant commit, and backported it22:52
micahgfta: ok, I'll see if I can poke the arm guys, if cups on arm is broke (or not exporting symbols properly), I should be able to get them to look at that22:53
ftathe buildlog is referenced in the header of my patch22:54
micahgk, thanks22:54
