=== _LibertyZero is now known as LibertyZero [06:26] hey i want to help with a bitesize bug but this is my 1st time. Can I get some help? bug # 688830 [06:57] good morning === daker_ is now known as daker [13:12] exit [14:19] Ping. [14:19] So I have a GTK app with more than one menubar. [14:19] Is there a way I can stop Unity from eating all of them? [15:22] kim0: backlog: http://goo.gl/FdihT === agent00tai|AFK is now known as agent00tai [16:16] While installing Unity from source in the compizconfig-python part I get the following [16:16] CompizConfig Python [ERROR]: No libcompizconfig.pc found in the pkg-config search path [16:16] Ensure that libcompizonfig is installed or libcompizconfig.pc is in your $PKG_CONFIG_PATH [16:17] hi, can someone point me to a libindicator documentation? [16:18] I have checked and libcompizconfig.pc is in my $PKG_CONFIG_PATH === JasonOO is now known as JasonO === JasonO is now known as Guest30760 === akshat_ is now known as akshatj [17:40] and again: is there anyone in here who could point me to any documentation on libindicator? [17:40] and also tell me if it supports gtk3 [17:46] agent00tai: You probably want libappindicator, and yes GTk3 support is available, moreso in oneiric than Natty, but yes. [17:46] agent00tai: And you probably want the libappindicator-doc package. [17:46] Which will give you documentation. [17:46] TheMuso: nope I want libindicator as I want to implement it into a panel [17:47] agent00tai: Right, I think you will need to look at the libindicator headers then, as the docs do not seem to be available in a package. [17:48] TheMuso: well I was more hoping that there are some docs avaiable somewhere at least [17:49] TheMuso: do you know if libindicator supports gtk3? [17:49] agent00tai: The latest code certainly does yes. [17:49] Not sure about the code for natty. [17:50] agent00tai: if you want some example code to help you, you might want to look at the code in the indicator-applet source package. [17:50] Indicator-applet puts indicators on a GNOME panel in an applet. [17:51] TheMuso: yeah I know of that, is that already ported to gtk3 in oneiric? [17:51] No I don't think so, as we are no longer using the gnome panels. [17:52] TheMuso: so unity has it implemented then, I guess? [17:52] yes. [17:52] TheMuso: thanks, finnaly someone who could give me some answers [17:53] The unity panel service deals with the indicator modules and indicator object entries. [17:55] TheMuso: yeah I already was pointed to that, but I couldn't really figure out how it works yet [17:55] The unity panel service is quite different from most if not all other implementations, because it doesn't actually draw the panel/indicators itself. [17:56] Maybe the xfce panel indicator applet is something else to look at, although that is not using GTk2 either. [17:56] GTk3 even [17:56] agent00tai: I have to go, but I hope I've given you a few starting points. [17:56] TheMuso: thanks a lot, have a good time! [17:57] agent00tai: Welcome. [19:05] Is the chromium app matching bug fixed in natty?
