diyttopmatulis: okay hold on04:14

pmatulisdiytto: unmount the device; unplug the device; command: 'sudo tail -f /var/log/kernel.log'; plug in device04:18
pmatulisdiytto: should be 'kern.log'04:18
pmatulisdiytto: also, turn on routing: 'sudo sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1'; then edit /etc/sysctl.conf to make it permanent04:20

jmarsdendiytto: That looks like it could be FAT filesystem corrruption.  I'd image the usb key to a disk image file, using dd, and then play with the image, rather than playing with the actual physical device...  You can use mtools to see if they can get files off the image, or use various filesystem recovery tools like testdisk ... plenty of ways to try to recover the files on it.05:16

Psilocybin_ElfAnyone know how to detect SAMBA shares in Lubuntu? I have installed smbfs & fusesmb but have no idea how to use them...??! And do I need the IP address of the machine I want to connect to, 'cause I don't usually need this when I connect from a Window$ machine.21:41
phillwPsilocybin_Elf: what version of lubuntu are you running?22:18
