[16:45] Gooooooooooood Moooooooorning California [16:48] moooorning MarkDude [16:48] morning akk [16:48] I have some plants I am getting rid of [16:48] You cant make to picnic on 16th can you? [16:48] I have humming bird plant and others [16:49] How are the berries doing? [16:49] Sadly, no, will definitely be in LA on the 16th. [16:50] The gooseberry is growing and looking really healthy, putting out berries ... but the berries are smaller than they should be and really concentrated. [16:50] So it's not totally happy yet, but it's doing okay. [16:50] Takes a bit, to find the right spot for them [16:50] (That reminds me, need to water it this morning before it gets too hot) [16:51] I have some in different parts of my yard now [16:51] at least 10 plants [16:51] a few should be in the right space- I find less water is good for them [16:53] Oh, the seedlings are looking good too. They're about 8" tall now (except one in a tiny pot which is still about 1.5", so maybe I need to repot that one). [16:56] They are pretty tough [16:56] I have some in very small containers- they are patient- since they can live many years [16:56] They should survive any frosts we have [16:57] at least most [16:57] * MarkDude will have salsa with them this Summer [16:57] come hell or high water :D [16:58] I doubt I'll get enough for salsa any time soon ... but it's fun to pop a berry into my mouth every now and then. [17:01] It is [17:01] This year I have 3 cherry tomotoes [17:02] Just able to go eat a few at a time now [17:02] Makes me feel like a hunter-gatherer [17:03] yeah, exactly :) [17:03] I love walking out to the garden, picking something and eating it [17:04] sugar peas are great that way (I don't have any this year, though) [17:04] Its weird how eating tomatoes when it is 100 degrees taste so good [17:05] I only have one tomato so far -- and something has already eaten a hole in it, just when it's getting close to ripe. :( [17:06] My birds are not eating them- so Iam happy === erichammond1 is now known as erichammond
