[01:40] howdy [01:41] party [01:49] woowoo [02:24] Warren, checking in! [13:35] Good morning [13:35] Time to go and get my hair cut [13:35] (finally) [13:53] ugh, sucky morning [18:59] HOw's the afternoon? [20:22] snap-l: meh [22:59] ok, which smart phone does everyone recommend? :) [23:02] greg-g: android I hope? [23:03] and in that case...it all depends on the carrier you're going to go with [23:08] ebarch: i'm a free agent [23:08] and yeah, droid [23:10] what are you looking for in terms of data transfer? the only unlimited carriers right now are sprint and tmobile...unless you go prepaid w/ virgin mobile or boost [23:10] good to know [23:11] I want data transfer, as much as I can get :) I'll be commuting via a train every day (in SF) so I want some internet time there [23:12] in general, do you have a favorite/think it is the best android phone out right now? [23:12] ebarch: thanks for your info though, you've been helpful already! [23:14] greg-g: no prob! if you want cheap, virgin mobile is $25/mo for unlimited data, text + 300 mins but their coverage isn't amazing [23:14] i know boost is around $50/mo for unlimited [23:14] galaxy s ii is the best if you can get your hands on it [23:15] i'd highly suggest getting something without a locked bootloader or something easy to root if you're interested in really customizing it and loading up a different ROM [23:15] HTC is pretty good for that [23:15] motorola has been notoriously bad [23:15] * greg-g nods [23:16] for verizon, the thunderbolt is pretty solid in addition to the incredible 2 [23:16] * greg-g is taking notes [23:16] on att, the infuse 4g and inspire 4g are pretty solid [23:17] sprint would probably be evo 3d, evo shift, or the nexus 4g [23:17] cool [23:18] not sure about tmobile... i know virgin mobile is getting the motorola triumph which is supposed to be good [23:19] thankfully android has really come down in price and pretty much all of the phones you can get right now will run plenty fast [23:19] yeah, awesome [23:19] now I guess it is time to price out some actual plans in SF [23:19] i've still got my year old evo 4g and it runs just as fast as most phones today...i loaded it up with cyanogenmod to get rid of the HTC crap [23:19] right right [23:19] heh, yeah...the carrier will be the main deciding factor [23:19] thanks man! [23:20] no prob...give me a shout if you have any other questions [23:21] will do! [23:21] you are now my go-to person, just fyi ;) [23:21] haha, cool with me...just message me if i don't respond in the chat
