raevolhey all- i am running xorg-edgers on xubuntu 11.04, and today i am seeing an update for my kernel02:31
raevolbut it appears to be coming from the normal repository, not the ppa02:31
raevolshould i avoid installing it? or is it safe to let the update run and i'll still be running my edgers kernel?02:31
raevolalso is there a mailing list or something that i should be on to get pertinent updates about this sort of thing?02:32
raevol(or is there a better channel i could ask in?)02:41
soreauraevol: Your package manager should do The Right Thing02:47
raevolok thanks02:47
soreauit's probably updating to a newer kernel than the one provided by the ppa02:47
raevolwell, it's not02:47
raevolversion number wise02:47
raevolthe ppa provides .3902:48
raevolthe update is for .3802:48
soreauwell it probably wont remove the ppa version02:48
soreauso just let it do whatever then select which kernel you want in your boot loader02:48
raevolok02:49
soreauraevol: might want to check software-properties-gtk and make sure the repo is still enabled03:04
raevolit is, in the same batch of updates i have a bunch of driver updates from xorg edgers03:05
