[20:45] hi all, anyone from the North in here? [20:47] can't think of anyone in the room off hand who is from the north. could be wrong though. [20:51] hmm [20:51] none irc AlanBell [20:51] and the ones who are on the list are rather quiet [20:51] whats up [20:52] moylan: join #RWCRants for rugby cup rantings [20:52] we have nobody in NI on the UK map, thought there might be someone hiding in here [20:52] well maybe they consider themselves a -ie [20:52] it's a touchy subject I suspect [20:52] and we are arranging a UK pub crawl, so figured we should visit all the corners [20:53] :) [20:53] czajkowski: don't follow rugby. i know, i know, i should. makes your passionate twitterings all the more fun when a game is on! :-D [20:53] hehe [20:54] got your red lemonade all packed for the uk? [20:54] not checking in luggage [20:54] have my 6 packets of bacon [20:54] and black and white pudding [20:54] will get taytos at airport [20:54] unless they sell red lemonade there [20:55] ah pudding. loves me a piece of white pudding on bread with a sausage, egg and a splash of ketchup! [20:55] only white for me [20:56] white pudding is teh awesome [20:56] got me galtee bacon [20:56] and clonakilty pudding [20:56] you just can never ever ever watch how it is made! :-) [20:56] shhhh [20:56] lalalalalal [20:56] dont want to know [20:56] and mcCamridges brown bread [20:57] and burren smokery salmon [20:57] hmm yes may bring back some brown bread [20:57] travelling to the uk with pork products. really reminds me of the 70s for some reason. lots of my family went with half a pig in their luggage. [20:58] yeah my dad was saying I cant bring it over [20:58] trust me [20:58] I'M BRINGING IT OVER [20:58] signs up in Shannon saying it is totally cool to take pork anywhere but the US [20:58] grand job [20:58] they sell raw bacon in departures [20:59] can't believe in the 21st century you can't get an irish sausage or piece of pudding in the uk. there is a definite market for it! [20:59] richmond saussages [21:00] but so doesn't cound [21:00] *count [21:00] we have them, I don't rate them [21:00] got a dozen in the fridge right now [21:00] denny is the starting line. it has to be at least as good if not better. [21:01] the kids like them, but I prefer English sausages [21:01] * moylan is shocked!! :-) [21:03] nice big cumberland :) [21:04] NO [21:05] i have to dig up my mothers recipe for soda bread. fresh from the oven warm, with a glass of cold milk and real butter just melting. and i have to stop right there before i drown in drool. [21:05] when you find it [21:05] MAil me [21:06] when my mother made it. she had to make an extra one to throw to us to devour. 5-6 people in the kitchen getting the milk chilled. the real butter ready. utter heaven! [21:08] wonder if it's possible to make in the modern bread makers. will have to do some research. of course if it is my diet will be doomed! [21:14] I think we had a recipe for it in our breadmaker [21:15] buttermilk was a bit hard to get hold of though [21:16] but the shape is important to the cooking. changes the texture and also the percentage of crust. these things are important to the end result. at least to me anyway. [21:16] ah yeah, it made an mixed the dough, then take it out and shove in the oven [21:17] does pizza dough too, and the shape of that *really* matters [21:17] seem to remember my mother making it with and without buttermilk. there would often be a carton of sour milk when she was making. right have to email my cousin and sister who may have the recipe. [22:34] hey shanem
