[05:24] !logs [05:24] MythTV logs are stored in /var/log/mythtv/ You can use mythbuntu-log-grabber from the Applications menu to automatically post the most relevant logs to our pastebin. === arden is now known as westlock [17:05] Anyone know where LinuxMCE stores it's mythfrontend log? [17:10] westlock: not really the right place to ask that [17:11] check /var/log/mythtv though [17:11] or try: locate mythfrontend.log [17:21] westlock, i'm hoping you asked in #linuxmce [17:21] since we don't have anything to do with that [17:26] Did too. Still no luck watching tv on my setup. [17:28] westlock: afaik linuxmce uses an extremely out of date version of mythtv and because of this you will not benefit from the bug fixes or new features [20:31] How's mythtv 0.25 these days? [20:33] developing [20:34] still rough edges? [20:35] it's tricky to try a new release, with the schema changes etc... [20:35] ernstp, it's not too tricky [20:35] either A) own a set of test hardware, or B) Backup your DB [20:36] tgm4883, right, a db backup isn't a big deal [20:36] should find time to try 0.25 soon [20:37] for the record, I don't run it [20:37] does anyone? :-) [20:39] * tgm4883 shrugs [20:39] I don't keep track of who runs what [20:39] * tgm4883 is not big brother [20:42] not I [20:42] I may install it on a test box so I can scan for CCI flags with my prime though [20:42] personally I prefer to stay at stable until just before release [20:43] ernstp: you could prob find some people in #mythtv-users [20:43] thanks [21:00] you got a prime?? [21:01] its in my wishlist once it they freeflowing orders out [21:12] hows your setup with it so far? [21:12] and, more importantly i suppose, how's your cable companies cooperation been with activating a cable card? [22:03] likwid--_: there are discussions on mythtv-users mailing list... a few comcast customers have been pleasently surprised. [22:05] there are a few manual steps that you have to take, especially with 0.24.1 that are also discussed there. [22:47] I'm having trouble with mythbuntu 11.04 and HDMI audio. Is this something the mythbuntu community should help with, or should I ask for help on Ubuntu forums (does mythbuntu use the same kernel, alsa, pulse as Ubuntu?)
