[09:44] are there plans to integrate lightning with the gnome-calendar-server ? [11:16] chrisccoulson_, hey [11:17] chrisccoulson_, had any new ideas for the flavor-specific browser start page? === chrisccoulson_ is now known as chrisccoulson [14:17] I'm using Thunderbird 3.1.13 on ubuntu 10.4 and since a few days I cannot connect to any of my usual mail servers anymore. I keep getting the error message: Login to server XYZ failed. I tried completely uninstalling Thunderbird and reinstalling, same problem persists. Webmail login with same credentials works fine. Any ideas what could be wrong? Do I need to uninstall other mozilla software... [14:17] ...as well? (Like Firefox, add-ons, ???). === dpm_ is now known as dpm [15:11] well, what a fun day :/ [16:25] swiss-chris: are you located in the netherlands? [16:37] chrisccoulson: thanks for the tip on the 3.0 kernel build, maybe I should've stayed on natty :(, so I can't test build anything at this point? [16:38] micahg, just upload it, it's fine :) [16:38] chrisccoulson: ok, thanks [16:38] but you can work around it by copying Linux2.6.mk to Linux3.0.mk [16:38] but that is just a temporary workaround to let you build the beta [16:38] this is for Firefox 6 [16:38] the versioned makefiles have gone in the latest NSS [16:38] right [16:39] same applies to release :) [16:39] it's fixed in trunk [16:39] and maybe aurora too [16:39] so, in 9 then? [16:39] ok [16:39] * micahg doesn't like not being able to test build new releases, these point release should be pretty dafe [16:39] *sage [16:39] *safe [16:41] micahg, did you see i hit a bit of an issue when building the latest beta today? ;) [16:41] bug 841825 [16:41] Launchpad bug 841825 in gcc-4.6 "gcc SIGSEGV when building Firefox and Thunderbird" [High,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/841825 [16:41] chrisccoulson: yeah, that doesn't look good [16:42] chrisccoulson: at least upstream (gcc) found the cause already [16:42] heh, doko with upstream hat :) [16:43] chrisccoulson: BTW, thunderbird rocks in oneiric as long as I keep the messaging menu integration disabled [16:43] oh, what happens with that? [16:44] that's actually totally broken on new upgrades/installs [16:44] bug 839154 [16:44] Launchpad bug 839154 in thunderbird "[Oneiric] Messaging Menu still showing "Set up mail" with Thunderbird fully configured" [High,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/839154 [16:53] chrisccoulson: I'm experiencing Bug #840751 [16:53] Launchpad bug 840751 in thunderbird "Thunderbird hangs on launch" [High,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/840751 [16:54] chrisccoulson: doko just upload a gcc fix (revert) for your firefox issue [17:14] micahg, do you have libunity4 installed? [17:15] chrisccoulson: indeed [17:15] what version? [17:15] 3.8.4-0ubuntu1 [17:15] this is in unity-2d [17:15] ok [17:15] ah, there are 2 libunitys :( [17:15] your bug is the same as bug 839154 [17:15] Launchpad bug 839154 in thunderbird "[Oneiric] Messaging Menu still showing "Set up mail" with Thunderbird fully configured" [High,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/839154 [17:20] chrisccoulson: should I remove libunity4? [17:20] micahg, it doesn't matter. it won't work either way [17:20] ah, ok [17:21] the issue is that natty's libunity4, which is what you have installed, pulls a version of libdbusmenu with an older ABI in to memory, alongside the current oneiric version [22:23] evening [22:47] i've decided that ctypes makes it to easy to break firefox and thunderbird [22:48] **too easy [23:23] \o/ progress :) [23:25] micahg ?? [23:25] they made it easier to break firefox with an extension :) [23:25] i'm just uploading thunderbird, which should fix your problem [23:25] lol [23:25] yeah ;) [23:25] chrisccoulson: awesome, thanks [23:44] oh, man, i don't want people to think i'm criticizing firefox - https://twitter.com/#!/firefoxfail/status/110859773121007616 [23:44] but being retweeted by "firefoxfail" probably suggests that ;) [23:46] lol === micahg changed the topic of #ubuntu-mozillateam to: Welcome to the Ubuntu Mozilla Team: | FF = Firefox | FF6.0.1 10.04-10.10 http://is.gd/5Fyywu | FF7.0b2 10.04-11.04 http://is.gd/WUM9i5 | FF8.0a2 10.04-11.10 http://is.gd/Byx4fN | FF 3.6.22/6.0.2 / Thunderbird 3.1.14 in http://is.gd/dsudW needs testing | FF3.6.21 (10.04-10.10) FF6.0.1 (11.04)/Thunderbird 3.1.12 in Stable Releases | Report Mozilla PPA bugs here: http://is.gd/hdZc1 [23:51] * micahg points chrisccoulson at the thunderbird build failures... [23:52] yeah, i've seen those already [23:52] that sucks, i uploaded the wrong tarball ;) [23:52] * micahg wonders how that's possible [23:53] the first one i created earlier failed [23:53] i must have deleted the wrong one [23:59] micahg, we can create tarballs on lillypilly now btw, without having to install any extra stuff (like cdbs or mozilla-devscripts) :)
