=== Nigel is now known as G [08:31] Can someone set the importance of bug 847078 to medium please? It is a usability issue that does not limit the functionality of a core application. === zyga is now known as zyga-afk === zyga-afk is now known as zyga [16:29] eeeBotu will be unavailable for 5 minutes for a reboot [16:36] eeeBotu is back === yofel_ is now known as yofel [21:08] hi. every once in a while, usually when clicking on the app menu in 11.04 (ubuntu classic), gnome-settings-deamon crashes, and my theme reverts back to an old X 90's style theme (ugly gray, rectangular buttons, etc). I know many who have the same problem, and I'm pretty sure it has been reported as a bug. can somebody help me find the bug report? I googled and did not find it. [21:09] usually, clicking on preferences -> Appearance and selecting the original theme fixes the problem, but you have to restart all applications for it to take effect, which is ANNOYING. [21:10] because it happens so often. [21:14] photon: Did you search using any other method besides Google? [21:14] Cheesehead: like? [21:14] For example, using the Launchpad search feature? [21:14] * photon does this now [21:15] Are you bringing additional information to the bug? [21:20] 649809 [21:20] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/649809 [21:21] Cheesehead: I'm reading the bug reports, I'm afraid I have no additional information. [21:21] Cheesehead: other than, it's just plain annoying :) [21:21] OK. Glad you found the right one. [21:22] it's so annoying I'm thinking about reverting back to 10.04 LTS. I hope this will be fixed in the next LTS. [21:22] * photon crosses fingers [21:24] it also seems to be related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/574296 [21:24] in fact, the latter seems to be more like what I'm experiencing. or maybe it's exactly the same. [21:27] oops, sorry. killed gdm accidentally :/ === photon is now known as Guest45825 === photon2 is now known as photon
