head_victimsagaci: see your request? I bumped dpm for it ;)11:40
sagaciyeah, just got home and saw the thread, pretty good it's all going through11:40
sagaci*unlike our LoCo reapplication*11:40
head_victimYeah, he asked me to +1 it and he's put it through. It may day a couple of days to come throuhg apparently though11:41
sagacithat's fine11:41
head_victimOh and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/OneiricOcelot/LocalizedImageContacts might be interesting11:57
sagacilooking forward to it all12:34
sagacihead_victim, fyi, https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/ubuntu-translations-en-au-120413:40
head_victimI wouldn't merge enAU to enUS, maybe enGB?13:43
head_victimOhhh you mean the 2 enAU for launchpad and Ubuntu13:43
head_victimI think the best way to achieve that might be to make one a subteam of the other.13:44
head_victimI'd have a chat to dpm or someone else in -translators to see what other teams do13:44
sagaciyeah, I was going to go to the mailing list and/or -translators since it's not really something that should be light-switched13:45
sagacibut at least with a blueprint, we have history and discussions logged and properly ordered13:47
head_victimYep13:50
head_victimIt would be interesting to hear how other groups do it13:51
head_victimsagaci: I'm not 100% on how blueprints operate. If I were to add comments/brainstorming would I add it to the details or the whiteboard?14:05
sagacijust sent a feedback request, probably not exactly what you wanted... tbh I'm not 100% on them either but it gives a good place to set out/up the main features and targets, whilst the wiki (todo) is when the nuts and bolts, etc goes... if I'm not mistaken14:08
head_victimHmm, milestone of 11.10beta2 might need adjustmennt14:09
sagaciyeah it will, that's just the latest at the moment14:09
head_victimWhat's the whiteboard part where it says "ubuntu-rc, kubuntu-alpha, cli-beta" ?14:10
sagaciI've got that as the status of each of the sections, ubuntu packages are rc or close to it, kubuntu is still work-in-progress and there's decent progresss on the cli tools14:11
sagaciso that'll be the progress as of beta2, roughly14:11
sagaciprobably should be proposed as a separate blueprint but just wanted to register one to get the gist of how to "drive" them14:12
head_victimAhhh that make sense14:13
sagaciI need to put a lot more thought into the wiki page for the nut and bolt spec but i'm just trying to get something out there14:14
head_victimDefinitely a good idea.14:14
sagacilooks like I'll get a handful for the sydney release meet14:15
head_victimNice, I wish I could subscribe to events so I get updates on them14:15
sagaciI mean there's 2 people I've never heard of on loco.u.c potentially coming. Not getting hopes up but hopefully we'll get 5 or something together14:15
sagacigood idea14:15
head_victimAlways a good thing. Make sure you take photos 14:16
sagacinoted14:16
head_victimI'll be announcing the Brisbane one on Monday.14:17
sagaciyep, Brisbane has had parties for the last few, yeah?14:17
head_victimYep, it's pretty much a case of it happens just the attendees vary.14:18
sagacias I've noted on the Syd event page, wifi would be good but it's pretty much a byo unless the venue provides14:20
head_victimWell if you wanted to stream any of it let me know and I'll give you the login details for the ustream site.14:21
sagaciwill keep in mind, would only be able to do audio, maybe push out a photo/g+ update14:22
head_victimLan party at my house. I just bought http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190573992455?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l264914:22
head_victimI wanted a cheap switch to do some playing with on a separate network to the main one. That was the cheapest rackmount ebay had to offer :D14:23
sagaci48-port :/14:24
head_victimYeah, I wanted a rackmount one and that was the cheapest that came up under the search. I'm picking it up tomorrow.14:24
sagaci18 bucks not too bad14:25
head_victimSo basically I have have 100 wired devices in my house all connected now. Multitudes more wirelessly.14:25
head_victimcan have*14:25
sagacihow many wired devices do you have? <10?14:26
head_victimYeah about that14:26
head_victimI couldn't find anything cheaper :/14:27
sagacican you just add things to the blueprint via the whiteboard yet?14:36
head_victimAdded, see if that's what you mean14:37
sagaciyeppers14:37
sagacimight be an idea to add short-form date along with the message14:39
sagacijust looking at other blueprints14:39
head_victimYeah I was just looking at https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/desktop-o-cd-localization14:39
sagacibecause you don't seem to get an email when someone adds something which clears the noise but is good to know when the suggestion was made14:40
head_victimYou aren't subscribed to it14:40
head_victimIf you sub you get all the updates ;)14:40
sagaciassumed I'd be subscribed to it when I made the team :/14:41
sagacierr, blueprint14:41
head_victimApparently not, I had to sub to it despite being listed as the approver14:42
sagacianyway, I'm off for the night. Have to put more thought/effort into this. Ciao14:56
