macer1Hi :)01:40
macer1I have a small question. Is Ubuntu Members team member of Bug Control?01:51
=== kees_ is now known as kees
RedSingularitymacer1: Do you mean is Ubuntu Members a part of Bug Control?  As in, can they exercise bug control privileges?02:21
macer1I mean; if joining Ubu Members gives bug control privileges.02:22
RedSingularitymacer1: nope02:23
macer1OK, thanks.02:23
RedSingularityseparate teams02:23
RedSingularityNo prob :)02:23
macer1I am now i bugsquad and i hope to join bugcontrol in the future :)02:23
macer1*I am now in02:24
RedSingularitymacer1: well you started in the correct place.  Keep at it and you will get into -control before you know it ;)02:24
macer1cool :D02:25
macer1is there a period of time I must be in bug squad, to join bugcontrol? Of coures not counting other requirements listed on wiki page ;)02:29
RedSingularitymacer1: there is no real time requirement.  Send in an application when you feel you have the experience.  Just have those 5 bugs that you triaged ready to show.  Triage some bugs and then pick what you think are your 5 best ones.  Use those in your application.02:34
macer1OK02:34
macer1But can bugsquaders triage a bug?02:34
RedSingularityYou can triage it but cannot mark it 'triaged' or change its importance.  You will need to ask a bug control person to do that for you.02:35
macer1OK, and then I say importance and bugcontrol person do it for me, yes?02:38
RedSingularityYes.  If the bug control member agrees on your importance rating they will mark it for you.02:38
macer1OK, thanks. I am now going sleep :D it is 04:39 am in my timezone :D02:39
RedSingularityGood night then :)02:40
macer1:)02:40

[Relic]Is a recently release mouse not cooperating with normal mouse drivers fall under bugs or is there some sort of dev place for that type of thing?23:18
penguin42it's a bug23:31
penguin42define not cooperating?23:32
[Relic]bouncing to the center left of the screen when you press a button23:36
penguin42huh very odd23:36
[Relic]very hard to shut down most stuff, but on others like x chat works fine, but it isn't even identified in lomoco(sp?) since it came out at last week23:37
[Relic]logitech g30023:38
penguin42it's very very rare to have compatibility issues with mice23:38
[Relic]just figured since it was released only a week ago and hit has the very high speed polling? it would be a few days before good compatibility, and I tried 2 different ones23:39
penguin42is there anything unusual/special features on the mouse?23:39
[Relic]yes, 9 buttons, very high report rate 500/sec, 1000/sec and some internal memory to do different set ups (windows xp/vista/7 config program to set them up differently)23:41
penguin42ah23:41
* penguin42 suspects the 9 buttons is freaking something out23:41
[Relic]works fine in windows, but the the ID isn't in any linux program I have tested to figure out the problem so far23:42
penguin42[Relic]: I'm not aware of many places that have lists of mice, I guess there probably are some somewhere23:42
penguin42[Relic]: What is the model of mouse; lsusb should show you an ID as well23:43
[Relic]logitech model g300, and don'thave it plugged in right now, but it came up logitech with the internal ID number when I did have it plugged in23:44
[Relic]no problems with plugging it back in to get data but I would want to know all the info I should look at23:46
[Relic]Bus 006 Device 002: ID 046d:c246 Logitech, Inc.23:47
penguin42right, ok, so report the bug 1st23:47
ubot4Launchpad bug 1 in tilix (and 28 other projects) "Microsoft has a majority market share (affects: 939) (dups: 2) (heat: 4460)" [High,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/123:47
penguin42bad bot!23:48
penguin42[Relic]: ubuntu-bug and just go through the questions, hopefully it will collect all the logs23:50
[Relic]ok23:52
[Relic]I'll reboot with only the logitech one installed then do that in a few minutes23:55
[Relic]Thanks for all the help23:55
penguin42np, give the bug number here as well, if I'm still around I'll check it has everything23:55
[Relic]probably be about 30mins or so, since I had started a download before I started looking for answers again today23:57
penguin42[Relic]: If you get the chance to try the Oneiric beta it might eb worth a try23:58
[Relic]downloading the 11.04 ISO to test a clean version23:59
